The Love that Never Really Dies novel Chapter 480

“Oh, I just wanted to charge my phone.”

“Huh?” Sasha was stunned.

Charge his phone? Isn’t he planning to go to bed?

Sasha stared blankly at him as he went to get his charger. His gaze fell upon her for a fleeting moment when he entered. And that was the only time he looked at her.

At that moment, she felt as if he had poured cold water on her, dousing the anticipation she had.

What am I going to do now?

Even seduction has failed me.

This is the first time I have put on this dress. Furthermore, I have never worn anything this skimpy in front of him. How can he… not have any reaction at all?

Feeling slighted, Sasha collapsed onto the bed with her nose burning.

Unbeknown to her, right after Sebastian left the room, he hurried to his study and downed a big glass of iced water.

Da*n her!

When he returned to the bedroom an hour later, she was already asleep.

Hugging a pillow, she curled up in a corner, just like an abandoned kitten. When he went over to her side, he could still see her butterfly-like eyelashes moist from tears.

“I’m sorry…”

Sobbing in her sleep, she continued to apologize.

What a fool.

Unable to keep it up any longer, he lay down beside her and hugged her tight.

“It’s alright,” he murmured.

“Let’s leave this place, shall we? We can leave everything behind. We’re still young and can build a new life someplace else. What do you think?”

He whispered into her ear in a pleading tone.

Worried that he would be driven mad if he stayed any longer, he was filled with the urge to leave.

All this while, he had assumed his ruthlessness and power would make him invincible. However, when the truth was laid before him, he was unable to behave indifferently.

It’s probably because I’m not cruel enough.

Both of them hugged each other to sleep.

The next day, when Sasha woke up, Sebastian was already gone.

As she gradually came to her senses, she was delighted when she felt the residual warmth beside her. However, when she saw that her nightie was still intact, her heart sank.

She was devastated that he had not made advances on her.

When she went downstairs, she realized Sebastian and the kids weren’t at home. After checking with Lance, he told her that Sebastian had sent the children to school.
