“I’m at hom— Oh wait. I’m at the Wand residence. Come quickly then. I’ll wait for you.”
Sasha ended the call happily.
She was going to see her father after all those years, so how could she not be?
Moreover, the timing was perfect. Everything had just calmed down; it was like God was doing it on purpose.
And after half an hour, Sebastian arrived.
“Why are you wearing so little? Did you not know that it’s going to be cold today?”
That was the first thing Sebastian said after he got out of the car and saw Sasha; he mentioned nothing about Sasha’s father.
Hearing that, Sasha looked at herself and realized that she had forgotten to put on her coat because she was too excited.
That said, before she could retrieve it, Sebastian had already taken off his coat and placed it on her.
“Alright. Now, get on.”
“Okay!”
The lingering warmth Sasha felt from the coat made her feel loved.
With that, she forwent the notion of retrieving her coat and hopped into the car.
“Hey, are you guys staying after fetching Uncle Rufus back? If you are, I’ll get some groceries and make some food,” Lance asked after hurrying over.
“It’s fine. We’ll eat out. I’ve made a reservation for the entire family.” Sebastian made the simple yet assertive decision.
And of course, the entire family meant the Hayes, as well as the Blackwoods.
What he said warmed Sasha’s heart.
She was happy to hear that her father would be welcomed by those that were closest to them.
When they reached the prison, Sasha finally got to see that giant steel door open, and out came a hunched middle-aged man with silver hair in casualwear.
He was waiting anxiously outside.
“Dad!”
Sasha teared up when she saw him.
As soon as the car stopped, she immediately got out and ran straight toward the man waiting outside.
Seeing that, Sebastian figured he should stop the engine and got out.
It was the first time he and his father-in-law officially met since there was no wedding ceremony. Besides, Rufus was already jailed because of his bankruptcy prior to that.
