The staff Sasha encountered on her way down through the elevator weren’t aware of her identity and continued whispering amongst themselves as if they couldn’t be bothered by Sasha’s presence.
On the other hand, Sasha’s face turned pale and haggard when she heard their conversation.
Roxanne?
She no longer had the strength to pull herself together when she was determined to seal the deal a few minutes ago.
It had gotten the better of her to the extent she couldn’t even bring herself out of the elevator when she reached the designated floor.
Ding!
After some time, she finally mustered her strength to bring herself out of the elevator.
Instead of going after the person in charge of Wells International, she started searching high and low in the parking lots.
A few minutes later, she saw a familiar car and thought Roxanne must have been next to him throughout their conversation.
What the hell were they doing together? Since when were they on good terms with each other? Why did he reprimand me in front of her?
Sasha had a hard time catching her breath. Nevertheless, she made her way to her car and sped out of the parking lot without a second thought.
Meanwhile, Roxanne was still in Sebastian’s office to sort things out with him. She had brought along the shares transferal agreement for ownership given to the Rocke family by the representative of Sinch Enterprise and handed it over to Hayes Corporation.
“Sebastian, my father wants me to return this to you! He also sincerely seeks your forgiveness! All this while, he had been living in guilt because he wasn’t aware that incident would bring upon your father’s demise!”
Roxanne handed over the share transferal agreement to the man with her eyes brimming with tears, but Sebastian couldn’t care less and stare at her with a deadpan look.
It was undeniable he was no longer on bad terms with her since she helped him to expose Sasha’s doppelganger and treated Sabrina.
Therefore, instead of acting all arrogant, he explained in a callous tone, “You don’t have to return those to me since those are nothing more than a few pieces of paper. Sinch Enterprise was involved in a series of scams. In other words, it was never the stakeholder of Hayes Corporation.”
Roxanne’s eyes widened in disbelief when she heard him. She asked, “A-Are you serious? W-We have always thought it’s something important! I-I’m so sorry for the misunderstanding since we’re not really well-versed in them.”
She put the things she had with her aside and noticed the man had no intention to carry on with the conversation anymore.
