At that moment, Jonathan’s face was devoid of expression.
Nonetheless, Sabrina could not care less about what others might think of her. After she finally brought down all those men, she jumped toward the man in the bed and hugged him tightly.
“Sebastian, how do you feel? Don’t worry. I’m here. I won’t let them bully you anymore. I’m here to take you home.”
At that moment, Sabrina stared at Sebastian’s pale look and his body covered in wounds.
She felt a knife stabbing through her heart as her eyes brimmed with tears. She lowered her body, trying to get him up.
“Miss, what’re you trying to do? You can’t move him…”
“Take her away now!”
Jonathan shouted furiously as he ordered his men to take Sabrina down.
Only then did Devin come to his senses.
“Grandpa, please don’t be mad. She is Sabrina, Sebastian’s sister from the Hayes. Maybe she doesn’t comprehend the situation. She got all emotional after hearing Sebastian’s cry.”
Devin immediately tried to ease the tension while secretly cursing in his heart.
What the h*ll does she think she is doing?
To his relief, even though Jonathan was still mad after hearing the explanation, he did not further insist on sending Sabrina away.
“Who allowed her to come up here?”
“Sorry. I’ll take her away right now!”
Devin was indeed a fast-witted man. As he noticed Jonathan’s enraged tone, he swiftly rushed toward Sabrina, who was grabbing Sebastian’s arms and seized her.
“What’re you doing? Let go of me! I want to take him away from this place!” Sabrina, who was overwhelmed with her emotions, struggled fiercely.
Devin was stumped by her reaction.
Unable to collect himself, he cast a furious glare at her. “Are you out of your mind? They’re trying to save him. He refused to let the doctor inject him with medicine. That’s why Grandpa ordered his men to hold him down!”
Sabrina was left without retort.
After a long while, she calmed down a little and finally let go of Sebastian’s arm. As such, she followed Devin out.
I have enough of this woman!
It took a couple of hours before everything went back to normal.
By then, Sabrina, who had cleared her thoughts, realized how inappropriate her behavior was earlier. She sat on the couch in the hall, with her heart utterly worried.
“Devin, will your grandfather chase me out?”
“You don’t have to worry…”
Devin indeed had a good temper. Even at this point, he could still bear with her patiently.
Upon hearing that, Sabrina let out a sigh of relief.
As they were waiting, a young lady suddenly emerged from outside. She was carrying bags of stuff in her arms, panting heavily.
