The two continued to eat then. But Conrad noticed that Ashley kept staring at him with a smile on her face.
Conrad knocked on the table with his fingers, "Hey, why are you always staring at me? I am not the food."
"Do you have a girlfriend?" She suddenly asked.
"No. What's the matter?"
"Then why don't you be my boyfriend?" Ashley suddenly made a surprising statement.
Conrad was drinking his soup and almost spit it out when he heard that. He wiped the corners of his mouth and said helplessly, "Hey, we've only known each other for a few hours, right? How can we be lovers so quickly?"
"It doesn't matter. For example, the hero and heroine of the movie Titanic fell in love at first sight and had sex within two hours in the movie." Ashley indulged in sophistry.
"Sorry, I don't think so. Feelings need to be cultivated over time."
Conrad refused Ashley's proposal. Although Ashley was beautiful and had a good figure, Conrad just appreciated her. He was not someone who would make a move on a girl, even though the girl was beautiful.
"You don't even take advantage of the opportunity you're given. What a stubborn man."
Ashley lost her interest and finally started to eat.
After the meal, Ashley paid the bill and they left the restaurant.
Just as they walked out of the restaurant, a police car stopped on the side of the road. Four police officers got off the car and came straight to him when they saw Conrad and showed their IDs.
"Are you Conrad?" a policeman asked.
"Yes. What is wrong?"
The policeman said, "You are suspected of hurting others. Please come with us to the police station."
Conrad understood at once. It must have something to do with beating Maddox. These rogues actually took the initiative to call the police.
The rogues who were well-educated were hard to deal with. When they met someone who was honest, they bullied him. When they met someone they could not beat, they just called the police. They were really shameless.
Conrad could easily break away from the police. But they were public servants after all. He also needed to make this matter clear. So, he followed the police into the police car. Ashley was also involved in the case. So, she also went to the police station together.
In the police car, Ashley whispered to Conrad, "You just put the blame on me. They will not do anything to me. It was the leader of the rogues who tried to cop a feel first."
