When the elevator door opened, Sheldon took the lead and stepped out of it.
When Charlie saw the elevator coming, he was about t o gesture Nanako beside him to go in first. At this moment, Sheldon had already stepped out.
Upon stepping out of the elevator, Sheldon and Charlie's eyes met.
At this moment, Sheldon subconsciously frowned slightly as a familiar yet ambiguous aura suddenly burst in his heart and made him nervous.
As for Charlie, although he did not know the man in front of him, he couldn't help but steal another glimpse at him after seeing the man's eyes full of wariness and surprise.
The man, in his early fifties, had an ordinary look and figure but dressed very lavishly. There was a dash of hostility over his brows, indicating that he was a ruthless and vicious person.
Their encounter happened within a blink of an eye.
Since Charlie was with Nanako, he did not pay too much attention to the man. After brushing against him, he entered the elevator with Nanako.
When the elevator door closed, Sheldon suddenly stopped walking and looked back in the direction of
the elevator, somewhat lost in thought.
Yasin on the side asked, "Mr. Sheldon, what's wrong?"
Sheldon smacked his lips. "Weird... The kid who entered the elevator just now seems familiar..."
Yasin asked curiously, "Do you have acquaintances in Japan?" 1
Sheldon said, "I have a few, but not at such a young age. The kid just now is only about twenty-six or seven, right? About the same age as Jaime, or maybe a year or two older than Jaime."
Yasin nodded. "He looks about the same age as Mr. Jaime. Do you know him?"
"No." 1
Sheldon bit his lip and said with a gloomy expression, "But his look somewhat resembles a deceased friend o f mine!" 3
In those years, in comparison, Sheldon was lacking in all aspects.
All the socialites in Eastcliff wanted to marry Curtis, and they would die for him. 1
Sheldon’s wife Helen Schulz, Jaime and Sophie's mother, also loved Curtis to the moon and back. 2
Sheldon gave his all to make a pass at Helen enthusiastically, but she was completely dismissive of his pursuit and only wanted to marry Curtis. 4
Even though Curtis already had a fiancee, Helen still did not waver in determination of being with Curtis, to the extent that she would die for him anytime.
Sheldon went to great lengths to create a grand proposal ceremony in Eastcliff for her, but she did not agree and only said two sentences to Sheldon in front of everyone. 3
First sentence. "I'm sorry, I can't marry you." 2
Second sentence. "Because Curtis is not married after all!"
