Carmen was born with a silver spoon stuck in her mouth, and she had enjoyed a good, wealthy life. Due t o the privileged and lavish upbringing, she was always arrogant and aloof.
The best punishment for her was to let her live a hard life and take the edge off her spirit.
With that in mind, Charlie sent a voice message to Albert that said, "Albert, the room and its surroundings look just fine to me, but you must have your men guard her 24/7; never allow her to buy anything online or order takeout!”
"If she buys something or orders takeout, your men must intercept the delivery man and make sure it never reaches her.”
"As for her daily meals, just let your men buy whatever they feel like buying for her, but bear in mind that it must not exceed fifty dollars a day." 2
Presently-in Cliffcouls.
Albert played the voice message that Charlie had just sent through the loudspeaker.
When Carmen heard it, she instantly grimaced. Irritated, she shouted. "This is too much! I can’t do online shopping, and now not even take-outs?!” 2
Albert smirked. "Yup, you can't. What are you gonna d
o about it?"
Carmen growled furiously. "I want to call Charlie!"
Albert smiled cynically. "Based on my understanding o f Master Wade, once you make that call, the budget of your daily meal will definitely decrease. You'll regret making this call." 2
Charlie commented, "My aunt is too wilful and headstrong!"
"Well, let's do this then," he sighed. "Reduce her daily meal budget from fifty to thirty. If she's still not happy about it, reduce it to twenty or ten, or even five. You can buy a loaf of bread for two-dollars, a one-dollar hotdog, and use the remaining two to buy something special to go with the bread."
Albert laughed out loud. "Okay, Master Wade! I'll do as you say."
Carmen wailed in exasperation. "Charlie, what are you doing?! Instead of increasing, why are you reducing twenty bucks from the budget?" 5
Charlie replied gently, "Aunt Carmen, I'm doing this for your good. This is just a tiny bit of suffering to endure for now, so that when you return to the outside world in the future, you'll learn something from this suffering. However, I see that you’re not very sincere. A s the saying goes, 'When God gives great responsibility to someone, he must inflict him with poverty and knock down everything he builds to stimulate his mind, stabilize his temper, and correct his weak points.' Since you’re still so insincere and stubborn, then I will increase your suffering so that you’ll become a better person!"
