"Well, let's do this then," he sighed. "Reduce her daily meal budget from fifty to thirty. If she's still not happy about it, reduce it to twenty or ten, or even five. You can buy a loaf of bread for two-dollars, a one-dollar hotdog, and use the remaining two to buy something special to go with the bread."

Albert laughed out loud. "Okay, Master Wade! I'll do as you say."

Carmen wailed in exasperation. "Charlie, what are you doing?! Instead of increasing, why are you reducing twenty bucks from the budget?" 5

Charlie replied gently, "Aunt Carmen, I'm doing this for your good. This is just a tiny bit of suffering to endure for now, so that when you return to the outside world in the future, you'll learn something from this suffering.
