Isaac smiled as he said, "Don’t mention it. We’ve known each other for a long time. Spill it out. What's the matter?"
Chief Whiteford explained to him, "Isaac, something big has happened at Treasure Pavilion. An A-class fugitive is holding more than a hundred people hostage. Furthermore, that fellow is strapped with explosive substances. Now, he's asking for a Rolls Royce for his escape. We can only fulfill his request!"
Chief Whiteford then continued, "Not many people own a Rolls Royce in Aurous Hill. You're the only one who has the most Rolls Royces, thus, I would like to seek your help to handle the urgent matter!"
Isaac cried out in shock, "Treasure Pavilion? Are you sure it's at Treasure Pavilion?"
"Yes!” Chief Whiteford hurriedly replied, "I'm outside o f Treasure Pavilion right now. The city has, by all means, transferred a majority of the police manpower over here..."
Isaac could not help but say, "I've just walked out from Treasure Pavilion ten or twenty minutes ago..."
Chief Whiteford sighed and said, "That's very lucky of you. If you were to delay it even a bit, you could have
been trapped by Zakir inside Treasure Pavilion.."
After he was done speaking, Chief Whiteford hurriedly asked, "Isaac, is it convenient for you to lend us a Rolls Royce? You can rest assured that should anything happen to the car, the city bureau will bear the cost!"
Isaac replied without hesitation, "Whiteford, don't mention it. As a law-abiding citizen, it's my responsibility and duty to assist the police!” 2
After that, he immediately continued, "Please wait for a while. I'll make a call to arrange for someone to send a Rolls Royce to you!" 2
"That's great!” Chief Whiteford said gratefully, “Isaac, I really can't thank you enough!”
"You're welcome."
As soon as he had hung up the phone, Isaac called his subordinate to ask them to get the car ready.
Isaac rushed to the driver's seat, turned on the car engine, and sped toward Treasure Pavilion. Meanwhile, Charlie looked out from the window, frowned, opened his mouth, and asked, "Isaac, did the police mention that Zakir was discovered by chance and was pursued all the way to Treasure Pavilion?"
"Yes, Young Master!” Isaac answered, "I suspect that this fellow must have escaped to Aurous Hill and wanted to make some money here before continuing t o flee. Little did he expect that he would be identified b y the people at Aurous Hill, and as such, he was at his wit's end and could only escape to Treasure Pavilion."
Charlie shook his head and said, "Still, I think that something's not quite right with this case."
Isaac asked skeptically, "Young Master, which part did you think has gone wrong?!"
Charlie did not answer the question. Instead, he asked him back, "An A-class fugitive who can play hide and seek for such a long time must be someone who is aware of the investigation carried out on him and has a strong analytical mind about his surroundings..."
"Why would a person who is so experienced in fleeing away run into an enclosed single building like Treasure Pavilion? Why did he want to let people lay a hand on him so easily by running into a building?"
