As he spoke, Yolden said jokingly, "By the way, Mr. Wilson, you look like you should be about fifty years old, right?"
"Yes. I am fifty years old." Jacob replied as he nodded.
Yolden smiled before he said, "In that case, you cannot refer to me as a young man anymore. I am a few years older than you. I am fifty-five years old this year."
"What?!" Jacob asked as he was dumbfounded. "You are fifty-five years old this year?!"
"Yes." Yolden smiled as he said, "I just celebrated my 55th birthday in January this year."
The expression on Jacob’s face suddenly became a little ugly.
It was not out of anger, but it was mainly due to Jacob's inferiority complex. 5
Jacob had initially thought that Yolden should be around forty-five years old. However, he really would not have expected that this guy would actually be five years older than him!
At this time, Yolden looked at Matilda before he asked her, "By the way, Matilda, since Mr. Wilson has to go first because he is in a rush, what about you? Are you i n a hurry to go back too? If you are not in a hurry to
leave, perhaps the both of us can continue jogging for a little longer?" 4
Matilda had not run to her satisfaction yet, and she felt as though she was still bursting with energy and strength. When she heard Yolden’s proposal at this time, she agreed without any hesitation at all as she smiled and said, “Okay, then! I did not run enough just now, so we can continue jogging for a while longer."
After that, she looked at Jacob and Charlie before she smiled and said, "Jacob, Charlie, in that case, I will not be going back with you anymore. Charlie, make sure that you drive safely on the road.”
Charlie casually replied, "Aunt Hall has such good criterias, so there are surely many men who would be interested in her, right?"
Jacob replied anxiously, "The main point is that this guy seems to have very good criterias too! He was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. That title alone sounds very grand and impressive. He might even end up becoming my biggest competitor!"
As he spoke, he could not help but grind his teeth as h e cursed, "D*mn it! Why can't this group of men who have already gone abroad just continue staying in the foreign country, then? Why would they need to come back to Oskia?!" 4
Charlie did not take it seriously, and he smiled as he said, "People would always hope that those young people who leave and go abroad would eventually return to their home country and roots in the future. Moreover, he came back to work as a professor at a university here. So, he is actually contributing to the country and helping to cultivate and bring up more talents for our motherland."
Jacob said angrily, "The country would not suffer a loss even if he did not come back! This is especially so because this guy returned from the United States!
Your Aunt Hall has lived in the United States for so many years, so they must have many things in common. What about me?! I have not even f*cking seen what the United States looks like in my whole life!" 7
