Charlie had also not meant to scare Cadfan either.
Before today, Charlie had originally wanted to kill both Porter and Cadfan.
It was only after Porter had come up to Mount Wintry that Charlie had then changed his mind.
He knew that although Porter was arrogant, at the very least, he was filial toward his parents and had a sense of righteousness toward his own comrades.
Charlie also thought of how convenient it would be to have a team that was strong enough when he eventually ventured into Europe and America in the future, so he decided to keep Ten Thousand Armies and Porter around for his own use instead.
Since he had already taken Porter under his own command, it would not be of any significance for Charlie to kill an old man like Cadfan. Therefore, Charlie thought that it would be better for him to force Cadfan to hand his position as the head of the Schulz family over to Sophie instead so that he could settle the big problem with the Schulz family once and for all.
Charlie believed in Sophie's character, and he also believed in Sophie's ability. He believed that Sophie would be able to handle and take care of things both inside and outside of the Schulz family as long as he
could give her the position as the head of the Schulz family.
When the time came, the Schulz family would no longer be the Wade family's enemy but would be Charlie’s ally instead.
Cadfan also saw right through Charlie’s thoughts, and he calmed his mind down completely. He then looked at Sophie and said seriously, "Sophie, Mr. Wade is right. There is really no one else in the entire Schulz family who is better suited than you to sit in this position. I will complete all of the formalities as soon a s possible and place the Schulz family into your hands completely. The fate of the Schulz family will depend on your guidance and lead entirely in the future!”
Sophie hesitated for a moment before she spoke up, "I understand, Grandpa."
After saying that, Sophie looked at Charlie as she said reverently and firmly, "Benefactor, please be rest assured that I will do my best!"
Charlie nodded slightly and said, "In that case, let's wait for the formalities to be signed and completed later today, then."
After he was done speaking, Charlie then looked at Sheldon and spoke up, "As for you, as I've said before, aside from apologizing and confessing your mistake i n front of my parents, the other reason why I brought you back for the Tomb Sweeping Festival this time is s o that you can complete all the divorce procedures with Aunt Dunn. I will get someone to prepare the relevant documents for you to sign later today as well."
After saying that, Charlie then said again, "Since you want to pay excessive attention to the wordings, it doesn't matter to me either."
At this time, Charlie looked at Cadfan and said indifferently, "Lord Schulz, when you sign the relevant documents later, you can also change the overall structure of the Schulz family. In the future, Sophie will not be the head of the Schulz family, but she instead will be the chairwoman of Schulz Group."
How would Cadfan possibly dare to disobey Charlie? H e hurriedly said, "No problem! No problem! Anyway, from a legal perspective, the title as the head of the family is not tenable. What really matters is the position as the chairman and the voting rights and power on the board of directors."
Charlie nodded and looked at Sheldon as he said, "I’m sorry, then. Your daughter is becoming the chairwoman of Schulz Group this time, not the head o f the Schulz family. So, you will have to suffer a little and go back to Syria for a few more years. However, you don’t have to worry. I will speak to Hamed and tell him to give you more special care and treatment."
Sheldon trembled in fear and hurriedly said, "Mr. Wade, I was wrong! I'm willing to live under residential surveillance! I would also be fine even if you want to put me under house arrest. Just don't ever send me back to Syria again. I’ve really had enough of that place..."
Charlie had already expected Sheldon to give in and s o, he said indifferently, "Since you are willing to accept it, you will go back to Aurous Hill with me after the ancestor worship ceremony is over. I will make all the proper arrangements for you, then."
When Sheldon heard this, he knelt on the ground, and he had a mournful look on his face as he pleaded, "Mr. Wade, please don't send me to the dog farm..."
