Charlie did not realize that something was amiss, even when Kathleen mentioned his wife Claire. After all, his father-in-law had already told her everything about their family.

Seeing that Kathleen planned to renovate such a large house, Charlie immediately told her, "My wife has a lot of projects on hand recently. She’s probably already running at full capacity.
