Elaine looked at Hannah and laughed as she said in a b*tchy manner, "Look, Sister-i n-Law. He's being so anxious just because I said a couple of words."
Hannah curled her lips and said disdainfully, "Isn’t that the nature and virtue of all the men in the Wilson family? They are slow to act, have small abilities, and possess a big temper!"
Elaine clapped her hands and said excitedly, "Sister-in-law, you're so right! Every word that you've just said is really true, and it really resonates deep in my heart."
Jacob felt his face burning and so, he stood up immediately and said to Claire, "Claire, you guys can order takeout. You don’t need to order for me.
Claire hurriedly asked, "Dad, what are you going to do?"
Jacob said angrily, "I'm already full from anger and so, I'm going to go and lay down i n my room and rest."
Claire was helpless and so, she could only say to Elaine, "Mom, why don't you just stop saying anything else?"
When Hannah saw that Claire could not stand it any longer, she immediately said t o Elaine, "That's right, Elaine. Claire is right. It's enough for you to say the right thing. There’s no need for you to keep repeating yourself. You just have to be forgiving!"
Elaine also knew when to stop so that she would still be at an advantage and so, she said in a loud voice, "Sister-in-Law, I'm only stopping because of you!'
After saying that, she waved her hand and said, "Alright then, Jacob Wilson. Don’t sulk at every little petty thing. I will not talk about you anymore, okay?”
Jacob froze on the spot. It would not be right for him to leave, but it would also feel weird for him to stay. He simply felt as though he wanted to cry, but he had no tears.
At this time, Hannah spoke up and said," Elaine, if there’s nothing else, I’ll leave now. Let’s meet again some other time!”
