The words spoken by Janus sounded like a farewell to Angus.
To him, Janus had played the role of his father completely for more than ten years, and he was also the only family member that he had. Therefore, he felt incredibly upset to see Janus getting arrested.
However, Janus did not want him to dwell on it too much. Mattias, the police officer, had originally wanted to give him some time to say goodbye to Angus, but Janus simply picked up his suitcase himself and said, "Let's go, Officer."
Mattias sighed and said, "Okay, let's go."
Janus then asked him, "Are you going to be using handcuffs?" "No." Mattias waved his hand and said, " You're only being suspected of illegal stay, and it is not a felony. We will take you back and conduct a preliminary investigation first. After that, we will take your statement, and the commissioner of the immigration department will come over for a joint investigation. If it is determined that your illegal stay is indeed true, we will begin the repatriation procedure, and a special person will be escorting you on the plane at that time."
Janus nodded, bowed slightly in a very polite manner, and said, "I have caused trouble for all of you.”
When Mattias heard what he had said, he suddenly felt a little embarrassed. He coughed twice and then said meaningfully, "Cough, cough... By the way, I have to tell you that this matter of yours is not led by
the police. It is led by the Immigration Department, and it is estimated that someone there has received a report about your illegal stay and so, it is reported to us so that we can assist in the arrest."
After that, Mattias deliberately cursed and said, "F*ck! I do not know who is so free. There are so many people in Oskiatown who are choosing to stay illegally or smuggled illegally into the United States, but no one is reporting them, yet you have to get reported."
Mattias's implication was to remind Janus and Angus that someone was behind this matter.
Janus was naturally well-aware of this, but he had long looked at this matter lightly and so, he simply smiled slightly and said," I was the one who broke the law in the first place, after all. It is also reasonable for
others to report me.
