Just as Rosalie was impatiently waiting to arrange for her mother to go to the bathroom to prepare to take the Regenerating Pill, Sheldon, who was in the living room of the suite, looked at Charlie and asked tentatively, “Mr. Wade, can I ask you something?”
Charlie said indifferently, “Mr. Sheldon, you can just speak up.”
Sheldon hesitated and said with a smile, “I want to ask if you can give me a day of freedom tomorrow. It’d be fine even if you give me half a day of freedom.”
Sheldon knew very well that although he had followed Yashita to New York, he was still essentially under house arrest by Charlie.
After hearing his request, Charlie asked him curiously, “Mr. Sheldon, what do you want to do with this day of freedom? You can tell me about it first, and this matter is not non-negotiable if it’s reasonable.”
Sheldon suddenly looked a little embarrassed. He hesitated for a moment and then summoned the courage to say, “I want to buy a gift for Rosalie’s mother, and if the condition permits, I want to invite her out for dinner.”
Charlie immediately became interested when he heard this. He looked at Sheldon and got straight to the point as he asked, “Don’t mind me asking, but are you planning to take things further with Madam Yashita?”
Sheldon’s expression was a little flustered as he hurriedly explained, “Mr. Wade, don’t get me wrong. I have no ill intentions, and I’m definitely not planning to use this method to influence your punishment for me. I made this request solely based on my personal emotions.”
