The black light solidified slowly to form a shape above Skylar’s head, soon revealed to be a circle of black light. It was so dark within that nothing was visible.

Kai frowned slightly at the sight. “Is this fellow summoning another creature?”

Skylar and Karl had once summoned creatures on Dragon Island, and Kai assumed that Skylar would play the same old trick.

Instead, a humming sound began, followed by an overwhelming force emanating from the circle of light. The sound waves crashed against Kai’s body like the ocean in a tempest.

Skylar glared at Kai as his face began to contort.
