Emily nodded, and only then did she flash a faint smile.
“Jared, why don't I go with you to gather herbs? I'm familiar with the terrain here.”
Percy wanted to tag along with Jared to collect herbs.
In fact, he had another plan in mind, which was to learn some skills from Jared. If he could acquire alchemy skills and become an alchemist, that would be great.
Jared could fathom Percy's intention, but he said, “Percy, you can come with me to gather herbs another time. Ali and the others are hurt, so you should escort them back to the village for now.”
“Jared, please let Percy go with you. We've already left the Demon Wolves' territory, so there shouldn't be any more danger. We can make it back on our own.” Ali also wished Percy could learn more from Jared.
After all, Jared was an outsider who could leave Rock Village at any time. If Percy could become an alchemist, he would become a significant asset to the village.
Hearing Ali's words, Jared agreed and left the party with Percy to collect some herbs.
As the spiritual energy of the Ethereal Realm was abundant, there were countless spiritual plants in the mountains. Those plants would be priceless treasures in the mundane world, but in the Ethereal Realm, they were no different from wild grasses, left unharvested.
Even though the mundane world's spiritual energy had been restored now, those spiritual plants couldn't mature within a short period. Some spiritual plants required ten years or even a century to grow.
“Percy, do you see this? This oval, light green leaf is called...” Jared explained to Percy as he gathered the medicinal herbs.
He was merely imparting the latter with some fundamental knowledge for being an alchemist.
After all, there was no way for one to qualify as an alchemist if one couldn't differentiate between herbs.
Percy was a dedicated student. He remembered everything Jared had taught him after only one explanation. Then, he started helping Jared to collect the herbs.
