The Man's Decree novel Chapter 2631

Chapter 2631 Take Advantage Of A Woman

“You're all worthless, yet you want to fight me? Save it. When Jared returns, tell him I want to have a duel with him at the sect's arena. If he doesn't turn up, I'll come and beat the lot of you up once a day!” Bilius spat at Zebediah and the others before he whirled around and strutted off.

At that moment, Jared was treating Viola in the secret room in the cave. Although the latter was not wearing a stitch in front of him, he remained entirely indifferent.

Her skin was fair and smooth, so much so that the average man would undoubtedly lose control at the sight of her. However, Jared was no longer the hot-blooded lad he was in the past. He had already been with countless women. Cecilia, Evangeline, and the others were all devastating beauties.

On top of that, they were all shapelier and had smoother skin than the last. For that reason, his thoughts did not stray despite seeing Viola in the nude before him.

If it were in the past, he would certainly be restless and randy in the face of an unclothed beauty.

The smoke from the burning of the herbs enveloped Viola's body ceaselessly, gradually penetrating her body through her skin.

Ghaylen, on the other hand, waited anxiously outside the secret room. It had been three days and nights, but he did not sleep a wink all this time.

He fervently hoped that Jared could help Viola to regain consciousness. While he knew the young man might do something inappropriate in the face of a naked woman, he could only turn a blind eye to it for the sake of Viola's recovery.

If Viola were to regain consciousness, then anything Jared might have done to her would be considered her repayment to him.

Never had it crossed his mind that Jared actually harbored no malicious intent toward Viola, nor would he force himself on her as Ghaylen had imagined.

Slowly, the herbs in the Divine Cauldron burned to ashes, and the smoke gradually dispersed. Nonetheless, Viola's eyes remained closed. She showed no signs of regaining consciousness.

Seeing that, Jared frowned slightly. Ultimately, he could only carry her to the bed before gently draping a blanket over her.

Ghaylen heard the sounds of movement in the secret room and rushed in expectantly.

“How's Ms. Viola, Mr. Chance?” he asked.

In response, Jared shook his head. “She's still unconscious. It looks like we've got to determine the poison Hosen gave her.”

When Ghaylen heard that, disappointment showed on his face. Still, he knew the man had tried his best, so he gushed gratefully, “Thank you, Mr. Chance. Perhaps this is Ms. Viola's fate.”

“Don't be so pessimistic, Mr. Samoll. Let's go back first. I'll figure out some other way. Perhaps I might have a solution to help her regain consciousness when the medicinal pool opens,” Jared consoled.

He knew his cultivation level would improve once the medicinal pool was opened. At that time, he might be able to think of an idea to help Viola regain consciousness.

“Okay.” Ghaylen nodded. He took one last look at Viola before leaving the cave with Jared.

When the two men stepped out, the stone wall slowly closed. From the outside, it was impossible to tell that there was a cave there.

On the way back, Ghaylen kept stealing glances at Jared, seemingly having something to say yet hesitant to speak.

“Is something the matter, Mr. Samoll? If so, just say it,” Jared prompted.

“It's actually nothing major, Mr. Chance. I'm merely curious to know whether you did anything to Ms. Viola while you were treating her in the past few days since she was naked. But even if you did, it's okay. After all, you're young and virile. She's still unconscious now and knows nothing. When she regains consciousness, she won't know anything if we both keep our mouths zipped,” Ghaylen ventured.

Hearing that, Jared countered in exasperation, “What kind of person are you taking me for, Mr. Samoll? I didn't do anything to her. Nor would I take advantage of a woman.”

At the man's denial, Ghaylen realized that he had overthought things and quickly apologized profusely.
