Chapter 2864 Deliberately Setting Us Up
Jared and the others continued their journey. Meanwhile, the Three Bandits found no signs of Josephine and the others even after searching for a long time.
In the end, Jared could only choose to take a break and wait for news from the Three Bandits. After all, traveling in such a harsh environment exhausted a lot of spiritual energy. While they were resting, a figure suddenly sprinted in their direction in a panic from a near distance away.
When Jared and the others saw that, they promptly frowned. On the heels of that, they assumed defensive stances.
It was the first time they had encountered another person after entering the northernmost land. The route Vasily picked was exceedingly secluded, yet they still bumped into someone.
In no time, the figure drew increasingly closer. Only then did Jared and the others notice a beast chasing after the person. The beast was massive, its body coated with white fur. With every step it took, a few icicles formed on the ground.
“Watch out, everyone! It’s an ice bear!” Vasily hurriedly warned. By then, the figure had already reached them. The instant the man made out Jared and the others, he was overjoyed. “Help! Please save me!”
Jared recognized him as Beau, who had introduced himself to him at Vasker’s. Right then, Beau’s burly body was blanketed in frost, and he kept calling out to Jared for help. He was at Fifth Level Body Fusion Realm, and the ice bear behind him was also of the same cultivation.
Despite the equal cultivations, the capabilities of a demon beast were generally above those of a human. On top of that, the northernmost land was the ice bear’s territory. Beau could only flee.
“This fellow is damn contemptible to lead the ice bear in our direction!” Vasily snarled upon seeing that turn of events.
It would be difficult for them to deal with an ice bear at Fifth Level Body Fusion Realm even if they were to join hands. Their capabilities were all mediocre, with none of them above Fifth Level Body Fusion Realm.
