The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 166

Blair was being incredibly stubborn. She fixed me with a stern gaze, emphasizing each word as she asked, "I'm asking you, is this necklace from Abigail?"

I couldn't understand why Blair was so persistent about this. I didn't want to get involved with her—I just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

"Ms. Shepherd, please let go of me," I said calmly, trying to keep my cool.

"You're making others misunderstand our relationship," I added, shaking my head.

But despite my polite request, Blair refused to release her grip. She was surprisingly strong, and given how weak I was at the moment, breaking free wasn't easy.

Her eyes locked onto mine as she said sternly, "Samuel, haven't you always wanted to get away from Abigail? You're the one who wanted a divorce, and I've always wanted to help you to make it happen. But… why would you want to get back together with her? That's not like you at all."

As she spoke, Blair suddenly seemed to realize something. Her eyes widened in shock. "Wait… is Abigail threatening you? Did she do something to you?"

I stared at her, speechless, and shook my head calmly. "Ms. Shepherd, please be rational. This is my personal business and has nothing to do with you."

But Blair was insistent. Her expression hardened as she demanded, "I need to know the truth."

Her voice was loud, drawing curious glances from those around us.

I frowned, my frustration evident. "Ms. Shepherd, what's wrong with you? Haven't I made myself clear enough?" I asked, my tone firm.
