The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 190

This wasn't something that happened all of a sudden. It started from the very moment we got married, with every instance of Abigail's torment toward me.

The breakdown of a relationship was like a shattered cup. It could never be fully mended. Even if it was glued back together, the cracks remained.

If Abigail hadn't forced me to come here, I wouldn't have had to endure this kind of humiliation. By making me come here, she had made it clear that she was tacitly allowing Tom to make things difficult for me.

I glanced at Abigail and smiled as I asked, "Abigail, are you angry with me?"

Abigail put on a carefree expression as she met my gaze. She shook her head and said, "Angry? Ha! I'm not angry at all. Why would you think that?

"We had a lot of fun today. You seemed to be having a good time too, didn't you? So why would you think I'm angry?"

She spoke a lot, but it was easy to tell that something about her mood was off.

I knew exactly what had upset her. She wanted me to publicly declare in front of everyone that she was the one I loved most.

However, I didn't say a word. I had even refused to answer Blair's question.

This had left Abigail feeling resentful. Yet, for the sake of her pride, she wasn't willing to admit that she was jealous. Thus, she bottled it up and was unwilling to utter a single honest word to me.

I chuckled. "Is that so? I suppose I was overthinking it, then."

Abigail said nothing. She wore a calm expression as she started the car.
