When I saw the anger blazing in Abigail's eyes, a sudden realization hit me.
"Have you been following me?" I asked.
Her face turned icy, her expression filled with irritation and fury.
I couldn't believe it. This should've been the moment for me to be angry, yet somehow, she was the one acting like she'd been wronged.
The absurdity of it all made me laugh. I shook my head as I looked at her. "Abigail, sometimes you act just like a child."
Apparently, my casual attitude only infuriated her more. She glared at me, her tone sharp and accusatory. "Who gave you permission to go out with another woman?"
Her words lit a fuse in me. My anger, which I had been suppressing, started to bubble to the surface.
How on earth did she think she had the right to say something like that to me?
I met her gaze, my voice calm but cold. "Abigail, don't you think there's no point in having this conversation anymore?"
"What did you just say?" she snapped, her frown deepening, her frustration evident.
"You shouldn't be so greedy," I said plainly.
That hit a nerve. She grabbed my arm, yanking me closer, her tone sharp. "Greedy? Are you serious, Samuel? Don't throw words around if you can't back them up."
I looked at her, my expression unmoving. "I think I've been more than reasonable."
