The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 238

I stared at Abigail speechlessly, shaking my head.

"Don't misunderstand. There's nothing going on between me and Blair. I've never done anything to betray you."

She looked at me calmly, and a sly smile appeared on her face. "Oh, really? You're quite cautious, aren't you?"

I was at a loss for words, not knowing how to continue the conversation with her. It felt like no matter what I said, she wouldn't listen.

With Abigail around, the atmosphere around me would feel stifling and oppressive. I didn't even dare to speak, fearing that I might say something to offend her.

I washed the dishes and prepared to retire to my room.

Just then, Abigail suddenly grabbed my hand and asked in a gentle tone, "Samuel, why is it that every time I talk to you, you won't even try to coax me when you clearly know that I'm upset? Don't you know that women need to be coaxed? Why must you go against me?"

I didn't know how to respond. I couldn't help but wonder if she had come up with another scheme to deal with me. So, I simply looked at her and said, "Got it. I'll be more mindful next time."

To my surprise, right after I said that, she suddenly wrapped her arms around my neck and planted a kiss on my lips.

Her actions were eager, seemingly impatient to take things further. I couldn't break free and was pushed against the wall.

Her movements were urgent, as if she couldn't wait to conquer my body.

Looking at Abigail, whose actions are gentle and affectionate, I felt like she had become a stranger to me.

This was not the Abigail that I knew.
