When I saw George's expression, I immediately knew something was wrong again.
Honestly, I had already gotten used to this. After all, it was a rare condition. The road to recovery was incredibly tough.
But George still looked at me with a grave expression, his tone serious as he said, "Samuel, there's some bad news I need to tell you…"
Before he could go on, I simply waved my hand with a smile. "George, go ahead. Whatever the results are, I can handle it."
After everything I had been through, my mindset had completely shifted. I was no longer the person I once was.
Because now, I knew exactly what mattered most to me. Everything else didn't really matter.
George's eyes softened the moment I spoke. He sighed and said, "Forget it. I won't tell you now. Just focus on resting. Don't think about anything else. That's the best thing you can do for me right now."
I chuckled and replied softly, "Alright, I'll listen to you."
As I left the hospital, George's words echoed in my mind.
He spoke to me with a serious tone. "Samuel, your condition is serious, but the thing that's affecting you more than anything right now is your mood. If you can relax and face everything with a calm mindset, maybe your condition will improve on its own."
I knew he was trying to comfort me, hoping to lift my spirits.
Just as I stepped out of the hospital, I ran into Sophia. She was carrying a file folder, looking like she'd just finished some errands.
The moment she saw me, she hurried over with concern written all over her face. "Samuel, why are you coming out of the hospital? Are you feeling unwell?"
