The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 94

With her assertive tone, Abigail left me no room to second-guess.

And I, under her threat, had no choice but to obey her.

I put on the gray suit, and by the time I was ready to head out, I realized I was already drenched in sweat. Even my breathing was somewhat rapid.

I could feel that I was physically exhausted.

But at this point, I had no chance to refuse Abigail. I could only hurry to the auction venue as she had instructed.

The auction was being held in the banquet hall of a five-star hotel in the city center.

There were countless luxury cars parked outside, and it seemed that none of them were worth less than a million dollars.

Meanwhile, I had arrived in a taxi, making me feel completely out of place.

Many people around me were staring, whispering among themselves.

I maintained a calm demeanor, not feeling intimidated by their mockery and ridicule.

Perhaps I was just competing against myself.

As I approached the entrance, I noticed the security guard giving me a cursory glance.

After scrutinizing me, he said nothing and quickly averted his gaze.

But the next moment, he suddenly exclaimed in surprise and hurriedly walked over to a Rolls Royce that had just pulled up, smiling broadly.

The security guard was overly polite, opening the car door and greeting, "Ms. Bardot, we are honored to have you at our auction today. I hope you enjoy your time!"

Hearing the familiar name made my heart skip a beat. I turned abruptly to look in the direction of the voice.

Sure enough, I saw Abigail stepping out of the Rolls Royce with a cold expression, striding past me without even glancing my way like a proud peacock.

I calmly watched her, fully aware that she would pull such stunts when facing me, so there was not the slightest ripple of emotion.
