The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 99

I had long lost my patience with Blair's repeated mentions of this matter.

Although I tried to calm my emotions, my tone still betrayed some agitation.

Blair looked at me intensely and suddenly grabbed my wrist. She said, "Samuel, I really don't understand what's so great about Abigail.

"She's widely recognized in the business world for her bad temper and poor attitude. She snaps at people at the slightest chance.

"How many partners have complained about her inflexible ways and harsh personality after working with her?

"But you—you clearly want a divorce. Why are you still hesitating? Do you actually enjoy being tormented? Do you have a masochistic side?"

Blair came at me, her words hitting me like a barrage.

I was taken aback by what she said. No matter how I looked at it, this was my own issue, right?

Why was Blair reacting so strongly?

It was as if Abigail had taken something important from her.

I looked at her calmly and asked, "Ms. Shepherd, what do you mean by that? What's going on with you?"

Blair suddenly leaned closer to me, the strong scent of her perfume making my breathing a bit hurried.

Her fingers gently brushed against my cheek, her gaze fixed intensely on me as she softly said, "Samuel, leave her, and I'm willing to marry you."

I stared at her in shock, instinctively wanting to pull away her hand.

But she had a strong grip, and given my current state, I couldn't muster any strength to resist.

I could only shake my head and ask, "Are you out of your mind?"

"I'm not."

Blair's eyes bore into mine with unwavering determination.

Her tone was resolute as she looked at me anxiously and continued, "I've never been this serious before. Samuel, I like you. Can't you see that?"
