Under the brutal onslaught brought by Rocky's violent fist, Xavier finally had no other option than to fall back towards the arena ground. Upon impact, a gaping pit measuring around a hundred meters across appeared on the ground where his body crashed. Dense dust clouds rose into the air and blocked everyone's sight.
By then, Rocky landed on the ground already. Xavier laid in front of him. His irises rolled back to reveal the whites of his eyes and his entire body was covered with blood. It was clear that he had suffered grave injuries.
A moment later, the crowd broke into an earth-shattering uproar. They couldn’t believe that Xavier, the top disciple of the Sword Spirit City, was defeated so quickly by Rocky. No one had expected this.
Just when the crowd thought Rocky had won the battle, a burst of evil laughter suddenly rang out. Everyone's eyes turned towards its source. Xavier, who should’ve been seriously injured, suddenly stood up. His face was distorted and madness swam in his eyes like he was on the verge of spiraling into chaos. He looked horrifying.
Upon seeing this, Rocky frowned slightly and a horrible feeling surged through his heart.
"Aaargh!" While everyone was still at a loss for words, Xavier suddenly raised his head and roared like a ferocious, wild animal. A wave of bloody red spiritual power suddenly gushed out and enveloped his entire body. His aura then surged up at a rapid pace. The violent spiritual power he had just unleashed began to rampage throughout the entire arena. The spiritual wind blew frantically and dust continued to soar to the sky.
All the onlookers were shocked. They knew these were the signs of someone about to break into the higher realm.
Timothy and other senior members of the Sword Spirit Sect all had different expressions on their faces at the turn of events.
"Is Xavier going to break through to the King Realm at this critical moment?" Harrison asked with knitted brows.
"It's too dangerous. Anyone who tries to break through into the King Realm while his body is seriously injured would easily spiral into utter madness," Timothy commented in agreement with a nod.
"Should we stop him?" Harrison immediately asked for instructions.
After thinking for a while, Timothy looked at an elder of the Sword Spirit Sect, who was sitting on the side with a pair of straight eyebrows and eagle-like eyes, and his hair and beard were a bit grey. He was Joseph Xia, Xavier's master. "Elder Joseph, Xavier is your disciple. I think it's up to you to decide whether to stop him or not," Timothy then proposed.
Joseph Xia was one of the senior elders in the Sword Spirit Sect. He was a highly valued member, and many of the disciples he trained successfully broke through into the King Realm.
"Stopping him is unnecessary. His strength had already reached the point where he can break through into the King Realm. However, no suitable opportunity for his ascension arrived until now. What we are witnessing proves that he will only grow stronger with each powerful opponent he faces. The heavy blows he just endured merely stirred up his potential. Perhaps that’s why he’s choosing to break through into the King Realm now. If he stops now, he may not be able to go further. I know his decision to break through now is extremely risky. But the courage he’s showing now is exactly why he's qualified to be my disciple," Joseph Xia replied in a stern voice. It seemed that in his eyes, the best time for Xavier to break through to the King Realm was right then and there.
"Since you have said so, let's just wait and see what would happen next." Timothy didn't say anything to interfere and showed respect to Joseph Xia's decision.
Back at the arena, the spiritual power that gushed out of Xavier's body had reached its limit. The sky above the arena quickly changed which worried the onlookers.
"Aaaaargh!" Xavier roared again fiercely. A spiritual pillar quickly rushed out from beneath his feet and devoured him entirely within the next second.
Everyone screamed in surprise because they had rarely witnessed a spirit warrior breaking into the King Realm in such a dangerous state. Normally, one needed to be in a quiet environment so as not to be disturbed. But Xavier decided to ascend now even when Rocky had entered the Spirit Possession state. If the latter decided to strike the former now, Xavier might be unable to successfully move on.
Everyone turned toward Rocky and eagerly awaited his next move.
