The Medallion novel Chapter 1529

"Sir, please announce the victor!" Felton was the first one to calm down and immediately reminded the vice president.

"But..." The vice president was still lost for words. He was having a hard time accepting that Moore was defeated. After all, Moore was the new elite trained by the Sky-suppressing Mansion. In fact, this contest was arranged so that he could enter the Spiritual Sea Region to cultivate.

"The result has been decided. There is no doubt who the victor is!" Felton said concisely, but it was a clear statement.

The elders of the school didn’t want to accept what just happened, but deep inside they all knew that Rocky beat Moore in a straight fight. Everyone present also knew it. No one could even doubt Rocky’s victory.

After taking a couple of shaky breaths, the vice president stood up reluctantly, looked around him, and announced at the top of his lungs, "I declare that the winner of the newcomer contest of the Sky-suppressing School is… Basil!"

The crowd immediately exploded into an uproar. Although everyone saw that Moore was defeated in one move, they couldn’t believe it. They demanded for some kind of explanation to try and explain what had just transpired before their very eyes.

But since the vice president had already announced it to the public, it meant that they had no choice but to accept it, whether they wanted to or not.

After hearing the announcement, Rocky went straight outside the arena, and was immediately greeted by Eunice's cute face, filled with confusion.

"What did you hide from me?" She stared at Rocky and questioned him.

"Didn't you see it with your own eyes?" Rocky said with a teasing smile.

"Do you mean your strength? But how could you have improved in such a short time? When you were in the Sword Spirit Sect, you had just broken through to the primary stage of Spiritual Infant! But judging from the power of the move you used to defeat Moore, I can tell that your strength has at least reached the advanced stage!" Eunice was beyond confused.

"Of course it's impossible for me to break through to the advanced stage. But I have my own way to make up for the gap between our strengths. That's all," Rocky explained nonchalantly.

But judging from Eunice's face, it was apparent that she still doubted him. Even if Rocky had a way to make up for the gap in strength between him and Moore, it was still impossible for him to win with just one move.

"Believe it or not, I actually said the truth. I'll go back now. Please get the reward for me!" After finishing his words, Rocky turned around and left, leaving the stunned Eunice behind with her mouth still hanging wide open.

Rocky was supposed to go up to the stage to accept the award, but since he had already left, the ceremony didn’t push through, leaving Eunice to accept the prize on his behalf.

When Eunice returned to the disciple dormitory with the reward on hand, she went straight to Rocky's room to look for him, but he was nowhere to be found.

It was not until the next day that Rocky returned to the dormitory.

"Where have you been the whole night?" Eunice asked as soon as she saw him.

"I had to deal with some personal affairs," he replied halfheartedly.

"Here's is your reward." Irritated, she immediately handed over an exquisite-looking box to Rocky.

After opening it, he found several bottles of elixirs and a manual with medium stage spiritual skills inside. This kind of reward was undoubtedly precious to ordinary spirit warriors with Spiritual Infant at medium stage. But it was no use for Rocky.

"According to the registration information, he is a spirit warrior from the Di Clan," the vice president answered in fear. Although he was one of the most powerful people in the school, he respected the elder from the Sky-suppressing Mansion and dared not anger him. After all, the school was controlled directly by the Sky-suppressing Mansion.

"A warrior of the Di Clan? I did not expect that." The elder fell silent. He was obviously a little worried. After all, the Di Clan was a force that even the Sky-suppressing Mansion didn't dare ignore.

"Yes, and this year, there is another warrior from their clan who entered the school; her name is Eunice. They registered together," the vice president reported with utmost respect.

"Eunice? She shouldn't be from the direct line of the Di Clan. I don't remember such a name. If that's the case, then we don't have to worry too much," the elder said as he stroked his beard.

"Yes, sir." The vice president nodded repeatedly.

"Judging by the results of the newcomer contest, there are so many talented new disciples. I think we'd better change the competition so that more will have a chance to enter the Spiritual Sea Region this year," the elder advised. Of course, his real purpose was to give Moore another chance to enter, but he wanted to hide his true intent.

"No problem. I'll arrange it right away." The vice president immediately understood the meaning of the elder's words and gave his promise.

"Thank you, vice president. In this way, I can explain to the chief when I go back." The elder then stood up to leave, but after taking two steps he suddenly paused and added, "Keep an eye on the warrior called Basil from the Di Clan. Pay attention to his every move. If there is anything even remotely suspicious about him, report it to the Sky-suppressing Mansion immediately."

"Yes sir, I understand." The vice president nodded in a hurry.

After that, the elder left the room while others present watched him walk out.
