The Medallion novel Chapter 1594

Right after they left the tent, Rocky assembled five thousand soldiers which mainly consisted of members of the Swimming Army and a dozen spirit warriors. He planned to use them to form a surprise attack troop.

Ten thousand troops, created mostly from the Shield Army and the Changing Army, remained to guard the Wild Hill Pass. Tucker would have to use the mysterious military arrays that the Shield Army and the Changing Army had mastered if he wanted to guard the pass for a full day.

Since the spiritual race's army could attack at any time, Rocky quickly led the surprise attack troops away from the Wild Hill Pass. They walked fast and soon came to a spot that was one mile away from the Tiger Whisker Pass. That was where they would make their ambush. When the main force of the spiritual race's army exited the city and departed to attack the Wild Hill Pass, Rocky and his men would take action.

In past battles, the spiritual race had lost several thousand soldiers, but there were still about forty-five thousand left. When their main force attacked the Wild Hill Pass, at least twenty thousand soldiers were going to be left behind. Rocky only had five thousand soldiers with him and they had to win back the Tiger Whisker Pass. There was no doubt that it would be a challenge.

However, Rocky had prepared for all of that. With the help of a dozen Human-shaped Giant Beasts, the five thousand soldiers would be able to intimidate the spiritual race's army and face them head on.

Early in the morning of the second day, Phelps personally gathered nearly thirty thousand soldiers and took them to the Wild Hill Pass, intending to kill all of Tucker's troops. Just under twenty thousand soldiers were left in the Tiger Whisker Pass, which was less than Rocky had anticipated.

Rocky waited for two hours to confirm that the army led by Phelps had arrived at the Wild Hill Pass. Then, he immediately summoned the Human-shaped Giant Beasts from the Magic Spiritual Space and placed them on the left side of the city wall of the Tiger Whisker Pass. Because he had taken the time to modify the spiritual beasts, they followed all his orders without hesitation.

The leaders of the remaining soldiers that were guarding the Tiger Whisker Pass were the two commanders of the spiritual race and Phelps' subordinates.

After learning that a group of spiritual beasts had attacked the city, the two commanders were left confused. They hurried to the city wall and were further dumbfounded to find that the spiritual beasts outside of it were the Human-shaped Giant Beasts they had brought here.

"Where did these spiritual beasts come from?" the commander wearing the yellow robe asked, not able to take his eyes off of the huge beasts.

"I thought they had been killed," the commander wearing the blue robe replied, also looking confused.

"Commander, how should we deal with them?" a deputy commander asked, looking to his leaders for further instructions.

"Summon all the beast tamers out of the city and see if they can subdue the spiritual beasts!" the commander wearing the blue robe ordered after sharing a glance with the other one.

They assigned a team of three thousand soldiers to protect a group of beast tamers from the spiritual race. Then, the group marched out of the city. The moment that they approached the Human-shaped Giant Beasts, the beast tamers tried to tame them once more.

But as soon as the Human-shaped Giant Beasts saw the spiritual race's army, they became enraged. They charged and trampled on the people as aggressively as they could.

Filled with fear, the spiritual race's army gathered the beast tamers and rushed them back into the city.

After they saw that several beast tamers were unable to stop the Human-shaped Giant Beasts from approaching the city wall, the two commanders of the spiritual race turned so pale that they were almost translucent. "Shall we report what's happening to the grand commander right away?" the commander wearing the yellow robe asked.

"The grand commander is not here. He's leading an army to attack the Wild Hill Pass. We can't ask him to turn around now. Besides, this is nothing but a herd of spiritual beasts. If we want, we can just order our spirit warriors to kill them!" It was clear that the commander wearing the blue robe didn't take the Human-shaped Giant Beasts seriously.

"But these spiritual beasts are powerful. Besides, we don't know if our enemies are behind this. They could be controlling them..." In comparison, the commander wearing the yellow robe was extremely cautious.
