The Medallion novel Chapter 1917

Apparently, Rocky and Vivian were headed to a hall in the tier-2 territory of the Wankong Clan.

Upon their arrival, Alex's attendants led them straight into the hall. As soon as they entered, Rocky and Vivian found that a large crowd had already gathered inside—Richard, Alex, and several elders, including some officials. Among them was a tall man at the premium stage of the Emperor Realm who stood out from the crowd with his sharp eyes and strong aura. It was none other than Jeffrey, the Spiritual Emperor that the young master had mentioned.

The Spiritual King that Rocky had injured was lying on a sickbed at the center of the hall.

Meanwhile, Rocky's appearance had caught everyone's attention. As they focused their eyes on him, they began to whisper among themselves.

They were all aware that Rocky got admitted into their clan through his special spiritual root and the likelihood that he was a chosen one. However, it was still open to question until he actually entered the Ethereal Valley.

Although Rocky was just a newcomer, they could not fathom how he had the guts to injure Jeffrey's nephew to such an extent. Hence, most of the people thought that the qualification for the Ethereal Valley had made the young man needlessly arrogant. Now that Rocky had offended the Spiritual Emperor, he was facing a huge trouble. In fact, if the patriarch and the young master had not stood up for Rocky, Jeffrey might have already tried to kill him out of rage.

"So, are you the brat who put my nephew in this state?" The Spiritual Emperor could not help but glare at Rocky as he asked angrily.

"Yes, that was my doing," Rocky quickly admitted with a shrug.

"How dare you do that to him without any remorse? It seems that you have no respect for me at all!" Jeffrey fumed in anger upon hearing Rocky's nonchalant response. His formidable aura instantly spread out, shrouding Rocky. It was obvious that he was trying to intimidate the young man.

As a Spiritual Emperor, Jeffrey didn't even need to lift a finger if he really intended to hurt a mere Spiritual King.

In fact, any ordinary Spiritual King would have been frightened to death if they encountered Jeffrey's overbearing momentum. It would immediately make them tremble and even kneel on the ground. But to everyone's surprise, Rocky did not even show any reaction. Of course, this made everyone present, especially Jeffrey, surprised and confused at the same time.

Jeffrey's lips curled and his eyes narrowed in disappointment. He was actually in total disbelief that his aura had no impact on Rocky at all.

"Sir, you are mistaken. I hadn't even heard about you until yesterday. There's no way that I would mean any disrespect to you," Rocky replied with a subtle hint of haughtiness in his tone.

Blue veins almost popped out on Jeffrey's forehead as he discerned what Rocky actually meant. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, strongly wishing that he could punch Rocky's impertinent mouth and beat him to death.

At the same time, when the people in the hall heard how Rocky blatantly dared to offend Jeffrey, they could not help but feel worried about the life of the young man.

"Spiritual Emperor Jeffrey, please calm down. Rookie is merely stating a fact. He has just joined our clan and still doesn't know much about our rules. Please forgive him!" Alex hurriedly butted in, knowing that Rocky might end up getting hurt if nothing was done in this situation.

"Fine! I will spare him for your sake. However, if he fails to cure my nephew just like he promised, then I'll make sure that he will suffer the same fate as Ryan!" Jeffrey shouted coldly, shooting a furious glare at Rocky. Afterwards, he turned around and walked away.

"Rookie, are you sure you can heal Ryan's injuries? You must have already heard that even the brilliant masters of our clan cannot do anything for him," Richard asked with clear anxiousness in his voice. He couldn't believe it when he heard that Rocky had promised to cure Ryan, who had been severely injured. But since Rocky seriously promised to do it, he thought that he should at least give the young man a chance to prove himself.

He personally appeared to witness if Rocky really had the ability to do this seemingly impossible thing. On the other hand, if Rocky failed to cure Ryan, Richard knew that Jeffrey would lose himself. In that case, as the patriarch, he should be ready to mediate this kind of dispute.

Besides, Rocky had now become an extremely important figure for the Wankong Clan. Richard knew that they could not afford losing him.

"Well, all I can do is try." Rocky did not give any assurance. After all, even though he had the ability to cure Ryan, he thought that it would be too suspicious if he seemed to be too confident about it.
