The little girl bit her lips and said in ashamed voice,
"It is not possible grandma. I have a Voidborn Body type. Even if I want, I would never awaken any element."
"Child sometimes, some paths are not meant for us. So stop feeling sad just because you don’t have potential for that field. Maybe you are made for something else."
The little girl didn’t understand what her grandmother meant but didn’t interrupt her.
When her grandmother stopped talking, the little girl hugged her grandmother and said,
"Grandma, life is so difficult."
Her eyes turned red and her breathing had fastened.
The old lady froze and hugged the little girl. The little girl cried for a long while.
The next day when she woke up, she had to get up from the ground and walk out of the cemetery.
The little girl was feeling hungry and since she didn’t have money the only option that was left was to beg.
However, even after begging for a long time, she didn’t get any help. The day passed by and the girl could only drink cold water to extinguish her hunger.
The next day, the little girl walked around the stores to find a job, but maybe the luck was truly not on her side, because even after asking around she didn’t find any job.
She did find something to eat, but it was expired. The little girl was so hungry that she didn’t bother about it and ate the food.
The next day, the little girl didn’t have the strength to get up at all and lay on one side of the road. She was sure that her death was near.
....
At the same time.
Gu Jin and Si Kai explored the market and Gu Jin suddenly remembered about the little girl.
Si Kai had enough and asked Gu Jin to send him the space.
"Sister I am going in seclusion, however, if you find yourself in danger, don’t forget to call for me."
Gu Jin chuckled helplessly,
"And how will I communicate with you?"
"Like this!" Si Kai said, touching Gu Jin’s head with his head.
From afar it looked like a cute scene where a cute cat-like animal was touching its owner’s head, however, only Gu Jin felt as if a link was being formed between them.
Stunned Gu Jin asked,
"What is this?"
"Sister this is one of the special skills I have learned. Using this you can call me whenever you want to."
Gu Jin smiled and praised him,
"Our Kai has become so smart."
Si Kai raised his head and chuckled,
"If you stay by my side for some more time, I think you will become smart just like me."
Gu Jin was truly amused by Si Kai’s narcissistic behavior and instantly surrendered,
"Sure. I am dumb and by staying with you I will gain more intelligence."
After chatting for some more time, Si Kai entered the space, and Gu Jin subconsciously walked up to the place where she last saw the little girl.
Just like the previous time, the same old lady was sitting in that position instead of the little girl.
Gu Jin was about to turn and leave when the old lady suddenly called Gu Jin,
"Hey, young lady!"
Gu Jin pursed her lips and turned around.
"Why are you here again?" The old lady asked with a kind smile.
Gu Jin shook her head,
"Nothing, I just..."
"Young lady let me tell you if you have some questions you should ask them before it is too late." The old lady advised with a kind smile.
Gu Jin froze for a second before making a decision,
"Where is the little girl who used to sit here?"
"Why are you asking? Do you perhaps have bad intentions..."
"No. I want to ensure that she is fine." Gu Jin said with gritted teeth.
The old lady said with the same kind smile,
"Oh? So what if she is in a bad situation?"
"I would help her." Gu Jin said decisively.
The old lady’s smile vanished for a second and she asked with a serious face,
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"What if you have to adopt her?" The old lady asked.
So she was truly in a bad situation. Gu Jin thought.
Her heart skipped a beat and she suddenly felt a strange kind of sadness enveloping her.
Was she suffering? Did she have anything to eat? Where was she now? And did she suffer a lot in the past few weeks?
The little girl heard the sound of the footsteps. She was instantly worried.
The place she was lying was close to a forest area and she was worried that she would encounter some beast.
Now hearing the sound, her heart started to beat quickly.
Was she truly going to die here?
Gradually the footstep neared her and the little girl’s heartbeat quickened, she hurriedly moved her body with difficulty and hid behind bushes.
"Where is she." An unfamiliar but slightly familiar voice said and the little girl who was hiding in the bushes was stunned.
Who was it? Was it some human trafficker?
The little girl curiously peaked and mistakenly made a sound. The little girl’s face turned pale.
For a moment, the atmosphere fell silent.
"So here you are." The same voice said and a jade white hand pushed the bushes aside.
Seeing the beautiful face young lady with red eyes and black hair, the little girl was stunned.
She suddenly remembered who the voice belonged to.
Wasn’t this the beautiful sister who had helped her last time?
What was she doing here?
Even if she didn’t ask that, Gu Jin understood the little girl’s question,
"I...I want to buy more weapons from you. But why are you in such a bad condition?"
The little girl didn’t believe Gu Jin and stared at her warily.
Gu Jin took a step back and said,
"If you don’t want to see me, I can leave."
Gu Jin was only saying that line to lower the guard of the little girl and sure enough, the little girl relaxed slightly.
"Okay, so do you have more such weapons?"
"No. Sold out." The little girl said with difficulty. Suddenly the little girl’s stomach growled her face turned red.
With a hesitant expression, the little girl asked,
"Do you have anything to eat? I can work for you."
Gu Jin instantly grasped the opportunity and said,
"What a coincidence, I want a little helper. However, I couldn’t provide much. I can only give you food and shelter."
"Really?" The little girl was excited when she heard Gu Jin’s words.
What more could she ask for?
