Samantha fired back, Dale, don’t kid yourself. I know who you are. You might treat your wife and daughter like dirt but always care for yourself. So, when you say you’ll end up on the streets, I just don’t buy it

And come onyou’ve been CEO of Wallace Corporation for years. Don’t tell me you haven’t skimmed anything off the top. I’m sure you’ve been enjoying your stay in some fancy hotel since I reclaimed the house, haven’t you?”

Dale felt his temper rise. Samantha is clever, but what’s this nonsense about stealing? Everything I’ve gotten, I earned, he thought. Trying to stay calm, he replied, Samantha, I’ve never stolen a dime from Wallace Corporation. Everything I have, I’ve earned.”

Samantha rolled her eyes and spat at Dale. Oh, please. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Pretending you didn’t take anything from the company? What a joke. You can say whatever you want, but I don’t believe any of it.”

Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. Oh, and by the way, I’m taking over at the company tomorrow. I’m not asking anything from you, Dale, except one thingjust stay out of my way when I take over.”

Dale froze. Starting tomorrow? Is she actually planning to take Wallace Corporation from me?! How could she do this to me? The thought of losing his company to Samantha made his blood boil

Dale snapped, Samantha, you ungrateful brat! I’m not giving up my position as CEO without a fight. If you think you can take it, go ahead and try. Even if it means dragging you to court, Wallace Corporation stays mine!”

Samantha smirked, not the least bit fazed. You’re really full of yourself, huh? I have all of Mom’s shares. What makes you think you can compete with that? Do you honestly believe you still have a chance?”

Dale scoffed inwardly. So what if you have more shares? Shares alone don’t make you CEOyou need the skills and the shareholders behind you. You have never run a business in your life. No way the board will choose you over me

Confident, he sneered, Why? You’ll see tomorrow. If you think you can just waltz in and take my job, you’re dreaming. Wallace Corporation will always be mine. The shareholders will never choose you unless you prove you’ve got more to offer than I do.”
