“Whether it’s nonsense or not, you know best, Sylvan. That woman, Samantha—she’s your new backer. You’re trying to get rid of me so you can pursue her and let her take care of you, isn’t that it? You’ll live a good life while I, your younger brother, will suffer.”

Upon hearing his words, Nickson couldn’t help but sneer. “Sylvan, you’re quite the actor, aren’t you? You lie through your teeth. If you want me to believe you, it’s not impossible. Swear an oath. Swear that you’ll never be involved with Samantha, that you’ll never have feelings for her. 

“If one day in the future, you do fall for her, you’ll die a horrible death. If you dare to swear that, then I’ll get out of your sight. After all, if I’m miserable, you, as my brother, can’t possibly live a better life than me.” 

Sylvan really wanted to get rid of Nickson. 

“Fine, I’ll swear. If I ever fall in love with Samantha, may I die a horrible death. Now, will you leave?”
