From that moment on, Koen became cautious. Any matters concerning Mrs. Morgan, no matter how big or small, were to be handled by Nathaniel personally.
Fortunately, Koen had a habit of carrying a laptop and a tablet with him at all times, enabling him to receive the latest updates instantly. As the executive assistant to the CEO of Technologent Group, many tasks required his direct involvement.
When the light turned green, Koen drove forward steadily, glancing in the rearview mirror. Nathaniel appeared to be resting, but it was unclear if he was truly asleep or just closing his eyes.
Koen hesitantly asked, "Mr. Nathaniel, are you asleep?"
"Speak," Nathaniel replied, his voice hoarse and exhausted. Despite his fatigue, he wasn’t actually sleeping.
Koen quickly explained, "Mr. Nathaniel, I have something to report. Our team in Pontenero has found some information and sent it to my email. They said it needs your attention."
"What is it?" Nathaniel asked, sounding impatient. His mind was chaotic due to his ongoing conflict with Freya, making him reluctant to deal with work-related issues, let alone those from Pontenero.
Koen continued, "It appears to concern Mrs. Morgan."
Nathaniel's eyes snapped open.
He sat up slowly and reached for the laptop. "Password."
Koen provided the password, and Nathaniel accessed Koen's email. Sure enough, there was an email from Pontenero containing numerous videos and images.
The first image was one Nathaniel had seen before, sent anonymously to his phone during the Pontenero jewelry exhibition gala.
In the picture, Freya was sitting on a sofa while Sawyer leaned over her, his arms on either side of her, speaking softly.
The angle of the photo made it look like Sawyer was about to kiss her. Even now, seeing it again made Nathaniel seethe with anger, wanting to tear Sawyer apart.
