Chapter 1616: The Agreement Of One

Rowan did not let the words from Staff shake his concentration. Before he met Primordial Demon, he might have taken his time to piece together her thought process more thoroughly, but he had seen this Primordial and knew that although he loved to battle, his nature was more sinister and disruptive.

Primordial Demon, at his core, was the First Doubt. He was the seed of rebellion and strife, the true betrayer, and Staff was woefully incapable of standing against his influence despite how strong she was.

She was right, of course, that Rowan had thrust her and the others into danger, but how could he explain to them the full extent of the battle when their minds were too small to grasp it?

All he knew was that if he survived this battle and the ones ahead of him, if one day he prevailed and became the ruler of Reality, then he would create a new Reality where all life could prosper based on the merits of their hard work, and where justice and fairness would prevail. Only in such a Reality would he allow himself to be judged; any consideration of his many failings at this point in time was madness.

He could not let himself be distracted, not here. Rowan knew that the most significant barrier to his plans was not Primordial Demon or any other Primordials, but Primordial Light himself.

The death of Eva was like a heavy blow to the back of the skull. Primordial Light was stunned, but this would not be the case for long, especially as Rowan was chomping away at his Authority over Light, and the more Circles he could add to Eva, giving her more control over the light that touched all of Reality, the more power he could seize from Primordial Light.

With the song of battle still playing softly inside his consciousness, Rowan could feel the intent to battle growing from the body of the Primordial Demon, and he did not shy away from it.

’Let it come,’ Rowan thought, amazed by how much Primordial Demon was able to hold himself back.

The fifth Destruction Circle had already joined the rest of the Circles hovering behind Eva, and at this point in time, all the light that had vanished from Reality had returned, and they were even brighter, but there was still something missing in the light, it shone but its radiance was dead, it was not nourishing to creation, it simply maintained.

Rowan knew his work was not done, and the base needed to be much stronger, and his hands did not pause as he reached inside of him and removed the sixth ring of dust.

The power of the Primordial Demon bloomed, and Staff was blasted into another dimension by the force that emerged from his body. Her cries of condemnation were cut off as her body nearly exploded into pieces by the force generated from the Primordial’s body.

A sliver of Rowan consciousness had wrapped around her body in the instant before Primordial Demon exploded with power, and this was the only reason why Staff had not perished, but her furious eyes that looked at him before she was blasted into the distance held no warmth, only fury.

Rowan did not care for her rage; he did it because of Andar. Nudging his Ouroboros Serpent with his consciousness, "Hold him back," he requested, and shifted all his focus on the sixth ring of dust on his hand.

Apart from Divus, the eldest and the strongest Origin Ouroboros Serpent that was wrapped around Rowan to preserve the last flickers of his life, the remaining five serpents tore through space and time as they charged towards the Primordial Demon, who had summoned a blade of darkness pulsing with intense malice and greed.

Primordial Memory and Primordial Life crossed the entirety of heaven, still wrapped in war, where billions of Angels were dying and the realm was shattering into pieces. Even the awakening of the Light that gave them back their lives did not stop the slaughter. It was as if a madness had gotten hold of their souls, and the need to slaughter all who did not follow their ideals became everything.

Primordial Life looked around the battle with fascination as they traveled to the depths of heaven, "How did he do it? For someone as careful as Light, how was his defenses pierced through so easily?"

"How do you expect me to know that?" Primordial Memory shrugged, "I am just the hired thug to maintain the Throne of Light."

"A Throne that you stole for six Major Eras."

Chapter 1616: The Agreement Of One 1

"Light was greedy, he knew that Fire alone was not enough to encompass the true destruction inherent in the bones of Eosah, and he agreed, but he gave a few stipulations before accepting this term, and the first was that he could not be openly seen to be consorting with Primordial Beasts, and so Bahamut had to steal the flames, and the second was that the Primordial Beast could only begin its merger after the war with their kind was completed, to avoid any unknown complications."
