Zaphiel reached into his chest and drew out a blade made from shattered timelines. This weapon had been plundered from the shattered remnants of Heaven during the war. He had been lucky to find this Throne-level weapon near the core of heaven, and the blade was one of the reasons he was still alive to this day and had gained so much power.
There was no talk between the being of light and the Storm Titan; they simply blurred across the distance, and their weapons clashed.
"BOOM!"
A thin, long line filled with the power of destruction tore across the point of impact between the two weapons. It sliced the fortress in two, before a wave of force exploded outwards, flinging both parties back and causing further devastation around them.
Zaphiel laughed as the Storm Hammer wielded by the Titan cracked before shattering,
"You dare stand against me with a Proto-Source level weapon? This is Eschaton, a share of broken time, capable of severing Fate itself! You shall not leave this place alive."
Ximos growled and threw away the broken hammer. The clash had ripped its innate resilience apart. He reached beside him and pulled out another Storm Hammer that was exactly the same as the one that had been destroyed.
Seeing this new weapon, the Celestial Creator laughed, "So, the rumors are true. The Titans have awakened Terra, and your vaults are overflowing with treasures. Shame that before the might of heaven, everything you own is nothing."
Ximos clasped his Storm Hammer with both hands, summoning a thunderstorm that swept throughout the broken fortress and extended far into space,
"Heaven has fallen," he roared, his voice like a thunderstorm, "and all of you pitiful relics will fall with it."
The Titan’s body blurred forward, and another frightening clash occurred, pushing everyone away, except for Zaphiel and Ximos, whose weapons were locked together, and waves of devastation bursting out from them endlessly.
The Celestial Creator had grown in size to match the Titan and manifested more arms to match it. With a roar, Zaphiel’s arms began weaving a spell that manifested faster than Ximos could perceive. It slammed into the Titan with bone-breaking force, tearing apart his armor and flinging him for miles.
Raising his blade, Zaphiel laughed aloud, "You are a relic, and your dominion is dust. In this new Era, you shall all return to nothing."
Ximos shook off the blast’s effect, his eyes darker than night, even in his body made from lightning, observing the Celestial Creator and his weapon. He grinned, the feelings of old returning as he felt the fury of creation reawakening in his veins.
There was a part of him that was still wary about challenging the Celestials, knowing that there was an invincible figure behind them, but those ages had passed, and a new one had dawned, one where it was possible to no longer hold back against the Light.
’It is time for all of creation to remember why the Titans are feared."
Ximos discarded his storm hammer and took up a blade of lightning. He had mastered every weapon, but with a sword, Ximos was supreme, and no Titan could match him.
The Celestial Creator crossed space and time and appeared before Ximos in a golden flash, his blade swinging down faster than the senses could follow, but Ximos with a blade was a different beast. He raised his lightning blade in a parry, and the shockwave from that clash decimated everything that was left of the fortress.
Pulling on the power of his ancient blood, Ximos moved faster than time should allow, his blade carving a wound in Reality itself.
The profound slice passes through Zaphiel’s chest, nearly cutting the Celestial Creator in two, but instead of blood, a blast of light that a supernova erupted from the screaming Celestial, and Ximos plunged his blade into Reality so that he would not be flung into the distance.
Knowing not to allow the enemy time to breathe, Ximos plunged into the fiery streams of light blasting out from the Celestial, his blade moving a dance as it tore through Zaphiel three more times, despite the Celestial blocking and parrying with Supreme skills.
Inside Ximos’ chest, a mouth was chanting spells, and when the chanting was complete, Ximos took a step back and unleashed a maelstrom of black lightning.
