Chapter 430
She had already given her money several times before.
“I’ve been throwing chump change at you before, but today your bank card’s got no limit. Just buy whatever you fancy, don’t sweat it.”
“Mum, why are you copying me?” David, who was munching on snacks, quickly looked up. “Are you trying to outshine me? Do you know how hard it was for me to win Bella’s heart?”
“So, only you can shower Bella with gifts, and I can’t?” Louisa insisted she accept. “Just take it. I didn’t bring it out earlier because Serena was there, and I didn’t want her to think I was playing favorites.”
Upon hearing this, Serena upstairs clenched her fists in frustration. How could this be fair? Wasn’t this blatant favoritism?
“Just take it. No more refusals. Louisa wouldn’t let her return the card. Holding her hand, she said, “Your dad told me you aced the test, so we have to celebrate. Your grandparents aren’t well yet, and your other grandparents and uncles are abroad. We don’t want to invite those distant relatives, so we’re thinking of having dinner at Romeo’s place and introducing you to your uncle.”
“My uncle?”
Turned out she had an uncle?
“Your dad has a brother and a sister.” Louisa said with a smile, “But your aunt lives abroad, she’s busy and seldom comes back. After your grandparents, recover, I’ll invite your aunt’s family so our big family can reunite. For now, we’ll meet your uncle’s family.”
“Okay.”
Seeing her agreement, Louisa arranged, “Then I’ll book it for the day after tomorrow, at the Dawn Restaurant. I’ll let Romeo know to reserve the largest private room
for us.”
“Okay.” Arabella chatted with her for a while before heading upstairs to take a bath.
Serena was filled with jealousy. Her grades were not bad either, but her mother didn’t host a banquet for her.
The next day.
Arabella walked out of Reflections Villa’s gate and handed the prepared gift to Romeo.
“This is for you.”
Romeo was surprised, he had a gift? This was the first time he received a gift from her.
He couldn’t help the joy and excitement, opening the bag to find a variety of items.
“I made the clothes myself.”
