The Queen Returns—And She's Unforgiving novel Chapter 295

Tiffany's tone was neither light nor heavy, but her expression carried a faint chill. She was clearly displeased and perhaps even thinking that Evelyn was out of line. Their statuses were worlds apart. For Evelyn to act so clueless in this circle was baffling.

Evelyn met her gaze. Her expression was just as cold, offering no attempt to soften the moment. "No need for the reminder. Maybe when you become Mrs. Grant, I'll let everyone know to update how we address you, Ms. Moore."

Tiffany frowned. She sensed a biting edge beneath Evelyn's calm words. Was she overreacting and making a scene?

Jacob suddenly noticed that there was an unspoken tension between the two. He knew Tiffany was a golden child. She was well educated, and now, she was doted on by Lucas. Even if she didn't show it, her pride ran deep.

However, from what he had seen of Evelyn, he figured her standing in Flying Seal Group wasn't low either.

At least, Sebastian's and Justine's attitudes toward her suggested as much.

He didn't want to offend either side. Stepping forward as a peacemaker, he said, "No big deal. We're not at the office today. Everyone should just relax."

Evelyn's expression remained distant.

Before she could respond, Justine chimed in with a smirk, "Ms. Moore, if you're so hung up on this, shouldn't you be addressing Evie with more respect since she's your senior in the field and higher up in the hierarchy?"

That woman was just a mistress who was kept on the side. Whether Evelyn was divorced or not, Tiffany's role as the other woman was undeniable. Hence, Tiffany really should regard Evelyn as her senior since she got together with Lucas first.

Justine's eyes dripped with mockery when she spoke.
