The door opens and Nathaniel walks into the master bedroom where Alexandra was lying on the bed, still unconscious. He gently lowered down on the space next to her.
"You look so peaceful when you sleep" He whispers, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
A small smile creeps on his face as he listens to the steady beat of her heart, Nathaniel trails his index finger on her face, lost in staring at her for a long moment.
"I want to see you roll your eyes again" He holds her hand
"When will you wake up?" He asked, yearning to see her beautiful eyes once again but a part of him was still mad at her and wanted to have nothing to do with her as soon as she opened her eyes.
As he stared at her, Nathaniel could hear his heart beating faster than ever, he wanted her yet he was still mad at her and has lost hope of ever being together.
"I hope you open your eyes soon" He breathes out, his eyes filled with a lot of emotions for a moment until memories strike through his mind, and Adams's words echo in his head once again causing him to remember all that happened on the Alpha election ceremony day.
Nathaniel could remember it all like it just happened yesterday, he had arrived at the council and Alexandra had been glad to see him but yet, she turned around and made him like a fool once again.
"You only used me to win, that's all you're good at"
He stands up, enraged, hating to be next to the woman who he had claimed as his mate.
"I wish I could go back in time then I won't have let this happen, you caused all of this but it ends here Alexandra Guerrero" Nathaniel states, the pain ripping his heart apart.
Despite how staying close to her has always put a smile on his face in a manner he couldn't fathom, Nathaniel was going to end it all, he wasn't going to let himself be played another time.
"This is where it ends so you better wake up Alexandra Guerrero"
Loosening his grip around, Nathaniel tries to take a step towards the door when his peripheral vision catches a glimpse of Alexandra's eyes gently opening up. His eyes widened and he looked at her, bewildered.
"Alexandra" He muttered under his breath but she didn't hear this.
