The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 121

Walking around the Starkov mansion trying to figure her way around the large dim rooms, Alexandra was certain there was a difference between the Guerrero mansion and the Starkov home. Back home, she could find her way around so easily and every corner of the house was lit up except the hallway which was her favorite place since it had no lights so she would lean against the door listening to their conversations. But the Starkov mansion was nothing of such, it was large and quiet as though no soul resided in the place but Alexandra knew Nathaniel wasn't living alone.

She had heard voices the other night and although she had wanted to go and see who Nathaniel was talking to, she pushed the thought aside and decided to keep her curiosity at bay. Nathaniel wouldn't want her snooping around the house, at least not while he was still mad at him and she hasn't figured out how to get him to listen let alone get him to forgive her.

Hearing a familiar sound, Alexandra rises from the bed, her face pale and lips dry. She hasn't been able to put herself to sleep for when she attempts to drift off, Nathaniel's eyes strike through her mind burning through her body and slipping her into a state of confusion.

Moving her feet towards the window, pushes the windows and looks down only to see Nathaniel shooting an arrow, she smiles but it didn't reach her eyes. Looking up and down his body, Alexandra moans softly, Nathaniel was what she wanted yet she didn't see it and hurt him even though it wasn't her intention.

"This is all your fault Adam" she steps away from the window, not wanting to meet his cold gaze.

Alexandra paces around the room, she wanted him as much as he wanted her but she didn't know how to make it happen after what Adam did.

"How can I tell you the truth?" She halts, standing in front of the mirror stares at the reflection of herself, her mind filled with thoughts of him causing her to imagine he was right behind her gawking at her like he used to.

"After all these while, you are still so beautiful"

She smiles widely, wishing to embrace him tightly but couldn't since he was a reflection of her mind. "I missed you"

"You talk as though I was gone" He glances around "Is this his room?"

"I don't know"

"Did you two sleep together?"

"No, we didn't"

Glancing around, he walks around admiring the spacious room. "Nice space"

"Yea" Alexandra states but she hasn't noticed it, she hasn't noticed anything that much since he was the only one in her heart.

"I love the room, especially the sheets" He smiles and she frowns.

"I messed up, you already know so why are not saying anything" Alexandra states wanting to hear it all, she was already disturbed after seeing him by her side when she woke up and after she had tried to talk to him, her heart has been in an undeniable pain while she has been beaten up, filled with guilt that she wanted to let out but couldn't since he won't give her a chance.

"You don't cry over spilled milk"

"I know I just"

"You stop the milk from spilling Alexandra but you didn't"

"I agree, I messed up and hurt him"

"Is already done. You should be more worried about how you intend to get him back" Nathaniel moves towards the window and looks down at himself still shooting an arrow. "He's beautiful" He adds, glancing at Alexandra

"He is" she walks closer, standing next to him "Adam is to blame for all of this"

"Yes and no"

"What do you mean?"

"You played with fire without going through your plan so you got burnt in the process"
