The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 123

Catching a glimpse of Alexandra, Nathaniel walks into the house, infuriated. He had thought she had left after breakfast since he didn't want to have anything to do with her. Walking through the nicely appointed kitchen into the living room, Nathaniel strides further up the stairs hoping not to set his eyes on her for fear that he might not be able to control himself any longer.

As he corners the hallway, he stiffens bumping into Alexandra standing by his doorstep, staring at him and he stares back for a long moment. His hands itched to engulf her tightly inhaling the sweet flowery scent of her shampoo but the pain in his heart was excruciating. It couldn't turn a blind eye to what she did to him.

Realizing who was standing in his way, Nathaniel takes a step forward, his eyes void of emotions as his eyes pierces through her, Alexandra's heart begins to pound heavily.

Even though Nathaniel wasn't going to hurt her, Alexandra was very much scared, his eyes alone gave her the creeps. It terrified her since she has seen this side of him.

Sweat forms on Alexandra's forehead and her palms become wet, she takes a step backward and her back hits the door.

"Nathan…Na…"

"Get out of my way" He whispers as he walks closer.

His cold yet stern voice causes her to jump and she quickly moves aside and he enters the room slamming the door. Alexandra exhales deeply, relieved, and leans against the wall for a moment, a lot of things run through her mind.

Despite his anger towards her, Alexandra couldn't resist the urge to go closer to him, she needed to talk to him, to tell him the truth and let him know all she had buried inside her heart. All she had fought alone and all she had to endure.

"Nathaniel deserves the truth" she lowers to the ground, trembling with fear.

"I need to tell him the truth, I can't take this anymore" Tears well up in her eyes but she blinks rapidly aware that if she was going to talk to him, she was going to do it sincerely without turning it into a pity party, that would be petty even for her.

Running her hand through her hair, Alexandra stands up, breathing in sharply, she exhales, calming her nerves, and barges into his bedroom only to see him talking with someone on the phone.

"Yes, of course," locking eyes with her, Nathaniel ignores her and continues talking to someone on the other end.

"Let's talk please"

"We will get there sooner"

"Nathaniel" she whispers but he continues to ignore her causing Alexandra's adrenaline to rush up. She strides towards him, quickly grabs his phone and ends the call, she tosses his phone against the bed. Nathaniel glares at her, no one has ever done this to him.

"How dare you?"

"So now I got your attention!"

"What are you still doing here?"

"We need to talk"

"There is nothing for us to talk about"

"How can you say that?"

"Shouldn't you be on your way?"

"To where"

"To Adam, where you belong"

Feeling her anger burst, Alexandra lifts her hand to slap him, Nathaniel glares at her raising his brow for her to dare.

"You are mean"

"And what about you? I'm just following your trail"

"Nathaniel!" She yells aloud

"What do you want Alexandra?"

"Please hear me out"

"I just want you gone"

"I will leave"

"That's good" He states, coldly.

"After I finish talking to you"

Nathaniel runs his hand through his hair, bored, he wanted to avoid her like a plague that way it wouldn't hurt so much but Alexandra was making it difficult for him.

"What's the point, Alexandra?"

"I haven't told you the truth"

"I don't want to hear"
