The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 130

As hours turn into days and weeks, the news of Adams's reign spreads like wildfire across the city and region and reaches the Crimson pack.

Hearing the news, a lot of things sprang up in Nathaniel's mind, Alexandra had revealed something to him and what Adam had told the pack had made him know that she was telling the truth, Alexandra hated them. Yet there was still something that made him doubt, when Adams's words played in his head, he had considered all he said, and although he didn't trust Adam.

He wasn't sure Alexandra was being honest with him, Adam's words had confirmed that Alexandra had a thing for Adam Hawthorn, the man she claimed to hate and Nathaniel couldn't just turn a blind eye to it anymore.

Although he had forgiven her, there was still something he couldn't believe and wanted to get to the bottom of.

"Where did you meet him as well?" He thinks to himself, leaning against his armchair.

As the memory of their time together at the inn strikes through his mind, the memory begins to play and down the lane, he remembered how Alexandra had thought he had another woman but had accidentally spilled her ordeal with Adam Hawthorn. He had found out that Adam spent the night in her room, and although Alexandra had an explanation for it, Nathaniel wasn't convinced but chose to bury his thoughts till now.

"Do you love him? Do you love me? Where are you playing the two of us?"

As the words play in his head, the door opens and Alexandra enters. Seeing the look on her face, Nathaniel could tell she had already heard the news spreading across the entire region.

"We need to talk" she states calmly

"I was waiting for that" He stands up, ready to put an end to this madness.

"Have you heard of it?"

Nathaniel nods affirmatively. "Yes"

"And? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Is it a must?"

Hearing his words, she takes a step backward, wondering what was running through his mind.

"Nathaniel," she whispered.

"What do you want Alexandra?"

"Did I do something wrong?" She moves closer.

"No, I'm just tired"

Looking at him, Alexandra knew he wasn't been honest but decided not to push further, they just made up and she wouldn't want to do anything that would make him mad at her. Closing the space between them, she engulfed him tightly.

"What do you want?" He breaks away.

"You are acting strange"

"Told you I'm tired"

"Alright, it doesn't matter why you didn't tell me anyway"

"Really?" He reclines back in his seat.

Finding his actions a lot strange, Alexandra decided to hold the urge to ask.

"I need to return to Guerrero's pack"

Alexandra observes him waiting on him to say something but Nathaniel stays silent.

"Did you hear what I said?"

"Yes I did"

Pushing the feeling aside, Alexandra knew she couldn't do this without him, he was her mate and she needed him by her side while she fought them off to take back what they stole from her.
