Steven coldly asked, "Aren't you tired of these games yet?"

Chloe stared at Steven in bewilderment. "What do you mean?"

"If Jessica really didn't want this child, you'd have rushed to the hospital to stop her by now. Would you have time to come find me?" Steven said with a bitter laugh.

Chloe was suddenly at a loss for words. How could she have forgotten this detail?

Steven continued, "If you wanted to contact me, couldn't you have just called?"

Chloe smiled wryly. "I wanted to, but I'm on your blacklist. How was I supposed to reach you?"

"It doesn't matter," Steven said, no longer willing to be the fool manipulated by the two of them. "If she really doesn't want this child, then let her have her way. I don't want to be involved in your affairs anymore, nor do I care to be."

Chloe stared at Steven in disbelief. "How have you become so cruel? Don't you care about your child anymore?"

"Aren't you responsible for what I've become? If you want to blame anyone, you can only blame yourselves," Steven replied.

Chloe's lips parted and closed, then opened again. In the end, she couldn't utter a single word.

Steven was about to turn back to his room when his phone suddenly rang. He answered, "Hello?"

Gavin hesitated before asking, "Did you break up with Jessica?"

Steven didn't answer directly, instead asking, "What happened?"
