Chapter 205 Lamont’s Discipline
A few bodyguards rushed to Mr. Thomson’s side and began punching and kicking him. Within moments, Mr. Thomson was covered in bruises.
“Mr. Byron, please, can you…”
“You better think carefully and tell the truth. If this were in the past, you would already be dead,”
Lamont said coldly, and Mr. Thomson was frightened.
“I’ll talk, I’ll talk!”
Mr. Thomson was desperate and finally spilled everything.
An hour later, Lamont was in his office, looking at his phone screen.
Miriam walked in with news.
“Mr. Byron, everything has been investigated, and it turns out that this matter is indeed related to Ms. Gladstone. She colluded with Mr. Thomson in secret and paid him to make things difficult for Ms. Mullen, resulting in the current situation.”
After Miriam finished speaking, he stood aside respectfully.
“Very well. If that’s the case, we’ll halt filming for a few more days until this matter is fully resolved. And regarding Mr. Garcia, he had better give me a satisfactory explanation, or I won’t let him off the hook so easily. After all, I’ll make sure his
actions ruin the drama.”
When it came to Amelie, Lamont’s emotions became uncontrollable.
“Yes, Mr. Byron,” Miriam replied.
Miriam had found it strange at first, but by now he was used to it.
Meanwhile, Cynthia was getting ready to rest when she received a call from Mr. Thomson.
After thinking for a moment, she answered, only to hear Mr. Thomson’s angry voice on the other end of the line.
“Cynthia! This is all your fault! If it weren’t for you, Lamont wouldn’t have disciplined me like this! You said that Amelie and Lamont didn’t have a good relationship and that nothing would happen, but now what? How do you explain this?”
Facing Mr. Thomson’s questioning, Cynthia frowned.
She had anticipated the call, but she didn’t expect it to come so fast..
The most important thing now was to calm him down and avoid causing trouble for herself.
She was sure that Lamont wouldn’t do anything to her, considering the power behind her.
“Okay, calm down. I have a solution for this, and it won’t affect your work,” she said, trying to placate him..
“It won’t affect me? Lamont already said that I wouldn’t be able to work in the entertainment industry. You had better come up with a solution for me, or else you will also be in trouble!”
Mr. Thomson was at his wits‘ end and spoke out of anger.
“You had better think carefully. If you want everything to fall apart, the consequences will be severe…”
Cynthia was not the one to be trifled with and threatened with him.
“Why don’t you come out and meet me? Let’s discuss what to do next.”
Mr. Thomson said and calmed down.
Cynthia wanted to refuse, but she was worried that something might go wrong, so she reluctantly agreed.
“Okay, let’s meet at the nearby coffee shop later.”
After saying that, Cynthia hung up.
In the ward, Amelie was reading the script, thinking that she would join the cast tomorrow. But Belen brought her some news.
“What? Is filming going to be paused for a few more days? Who said that?”
Amelie put down the script immediately and asked in surprise.
“Mr. Byron said it. He said the accident was too serious, and they had to eliminate the risks before continuing with the filming. Mr. Garcia can only listen to him,” Belen replied.
