The Return of the Disguised Princess novel Chapter 230

Chapter 230 Lamon: Came round

“Of course. You may rest assured. I will come for you when the matter is over.”

“Let’s go. I’ll send you back. It’s so late. I will be worried if you go back alone.”

Jeff said softly. Then, he stood up and took Cynthia’s hand.

Cynthia could hardly believe what happened but didn’t want to confirm it.

After leaving the restaurant, Cynthia didn’t come to her senses until she got into the car.

“As long as you keep me in your mind, I will be happy.”

The two looked at each other and smiled.

Lamont finally opened his eyes two days later.

Amelie was overjoyed and hurried to the ward door.

Looking inside, she saw the doctor examining Lamont.

“Amelie, hard work pays off. Mr. Byron finally came round.”

“Thank goodness. He came round.”

Amelie said excitedly.

The doctor came out, and Amelie strode to him.

“Doctor, how is he? Since he has come round, does it mean that he is no longer in danger?”

“We still need to observe. However, his condition has improved a lot. I believe he will recover soon. You don’t have to

worry.”

Hearing what the doctor said, Amelie breathed a sigh of relief.

“Okay, thank you.”

Amelie went into the ward.

It was the first time she entered the ward those days. She dared not go in before.

Lamont’s face was no longer pale. Seeing that, Amelie felt at ease.

“You finally came round. Do you know how many days you have been in a coma?”

Amelie looked at Lamont reproachfully.

“It’s been five days. If you continue to be in a coma, I’m going to quit.”

“Really?”

Lamont still couldn’t speak fluently.

“Take a good rest. Don’t worry about the company’s affairs.”

Amelie comforted Lamont. Then, she picked up a glass of water and handed it to him.

“The doctor said you could drink some water.”

Lamont looked at Amelie, whose attitude towards him had changed a lot, and smiled contentedly.

“You care about me. Why did you keep pretending? Were you not tired?”

“You are in the hospital. Don’t talk nonsense.”

Amelie didn’t want to admit that, so she stood up and walked to the window to open it.

The air outside was fresh, and the dull atmosphere in the room disappeared soon.

“I will have someone investigate it. The man came for you. You must be cautious and don’t take it lightly.”

Lamont took a sip of water and told Amelie.

“Mr. Byron, have a good rest. You don’t need to worry about me.”

With that, Amelie walked up to Lamont and handed him something.

“It is found on the spot. You can investigate it.”

Lamont looked at the button in Amelie’s hand and frowned.

“It is so familiar.”

“Do you also feel it familiar? It turns out I am not the only one who feels the man is by our side. Who wants to kill

me?”

Amelie sighed and felt exhausted.

“Many people want to harm you, but few dare to do that.”
