The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning (Madelyn) novel Chapter 1087

Chapter 1087

Blake said, “You’re so nice.”

Several tables away, a few people were looking in Blake’s direction, making uncomfortable remarks about

her.

She did not eat much before she used the excuse of the soup being ready and left.

Blake thought, ‘Maybe I shouldn’t eat in the cafeteria anymore. No matter how delicious the food is, I can’t withstand the stares from these people.’

Cecilia was still recuperating in the hospital. She was surprised to see Blake, who had just left in the morning, so soon, “I don’t remember asking you to come.”

Blake felt guilty when Cecilia stared at her. She lowered her head and touched her nose, “Ms. Samford, I’m your assistant. I was worried when I thought of how you have no one to take care of you. I bought you your favorite soup. Give it a try.”

Blake opened the thermal container and served some into a bowl. She then sat by the bedside and

offered it to Cecilia with both hands, “M-Ms. Samford, why are you looking at me like that? Is there

something wrong with me?”

Cecilia, pensive, withdrew her gaze. She then took the bowl of soup, “I remember you’re an only child,

right? You got no brothers or sisters?”

Blake honestly answered, “I have a female cousin named Mya Harper. My parents were busy and rarely

had time to take care of me. So, I spent most of my childhood at my aunt’s house.”

Cecilia lowered her head and took a sip of the soup, “Oh?”

She thought Blake resembled her little sister.

When her sister lied, she would lower her head to avoid eye contact, just like Blake. Cecilia found the way

Blake looked at her was so much like her sister.

Back then, Blake, who could not handle anything well, immediately caught Cecilia’s eyes because of this

reason. She thought, ‘Blake’s eyes… I find them really familiar.’

Then, she asked, “Are you free tonight?”

Blake answered, “Yes, I am!”

Cecilia finished her soup in one gulp and said, “Accompany me to a gathering tonight. Dress up nicely,

Blake was surprised, “Ms. Samford, I have money. You don’t need to give me yours. Don’t worry, I won’t

embarrass you.”

Cecilia responded, “Is it not enough?”

“No, that’s not it.”
