Chapter 1219
As Blake boarded the private jet with Cecilia, surrounded by
bodyguards, the reality of her situation weighed heavily on her. Inside, Cecilia remarked, “It’s a long flight. Feel free to rest, and there’s food
available if you need it.
Holding her phone tightly, Blake was filled with nervous anticipation. She thought, ‘Is this the moment I finally confront him?’
Observing Blake’s preoccupation with her phone, Cecilia offered some advice, “Blake, don’t devote your entire heart to one man. Men can be fickle; their sweet words are often just manipulation. If you can’t hold onto them, focus on what you can control. I can help you
win him over, but marrying him is not an option.”
Blake, setting her phone aside, replied with defiance, “What should I do then? Jump from one man to the next, like you did with Fred and Agustin? Do you really think Mr. Jardin is unaware of your actions? He would never consider a person like you.”
Cecilia’s face hardened, but she controlled her anger, knowing the consequences of lashing out at someone else. She calmly said, “I’ve always made sure I don’t lose out when it comes to him. But what about your relationship with Kevin? Have you gained anything significant? You didn’t; not his wealth nor his love.”
Blake argued, “If love is just about calculation and manipulation, then it isn’t really love; it’s exploitation. What good is money when you lack everything else? I have a loving family and someone dear in my heart.”
Cecilia seemed touched by Blake’s words for a moment, “Remember,
Blake. I am your only kin. I did everything to
tect us I’ve been searching for you for years, preparing for the worst. Now that I know you’re alive and well, I feel relieved. I admit I’ve wronged you. Can you forgive me? I decorated the room you stayed in last
time myself. I chose the sheet, pillowcases, and the finest swan
feather pillows.”
Blake responded with a hint of sadness, “If I were you, I wouldn’t have
disturbed my sister seeing her live well.”
As the jet soared through the clouds, Blake looked out the window. Her eyes eventually closed, seeking escape from her thoughts. The flight experienced turbulence, and Cecilia covered the sleeping Blake with a blanket. Upon landing, night had completely fallen. The airport
was desolate, surrounded by mountains. Blake, groggy, looked
around. Cecilia announced, “We’re here. Let’s go.”
Cecilia held Blake’s hand firmly as they exited the jet. She tried to
break free but could not.
“This place isn’t safe. Stay close,” Cecilia advised.
“Where are we?” Blake inquired, scanning the surroundings cautiously.
“In Northern Myanmar,” Cecilia disclosed.
