The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning (Madelyn) novel Chapter 1311

Chapter 1311

Janice continued, “You have no idea how many people in the

company covet men like Mr. Xander.

“Moreover, Mr. Harrison has already…” Janice then thought of how Kevin looked so infatuated with another woman last night. She chose to keep quiet about it and did not speak further.

She secretly glanced at Blake and found her lost in thought,

seemingly not paying attention to what she was saying. She was also afraid Blake might ask about Kevin.

Blake could never overcome the emotional obstacle she was facing. Even if others convinced her, she could not be persuaded.

If brief sentences from others

Ould bring solace to someone, there

would not be so many people obsessed over someone.

To cheer Blake up, Janice deliberately took her to see the drama they

had talked about but never watched.

They sat on the couch, but Blake remained gloomy.

Janice said, “Blake, you still haven’t eaten, right? Let me heat up the

food. You wait here for me, and don’t secretly eat the snacks alone.”

After Janice went to the kitchen, Blake stared blankly at the television,

feeling unhappy.

She remained in this emotional state for the next three or four days.

The next day, when they were out shopping, a piece of entertainment

news suddenly appeared on the big screen of the mall.

The news reported, “The mayor’s daughter, Ms. Parker, is suspected to be in a relationship with a man, speculated to be Mr. Harrison, the assistant to the CEO of Jardin Corporation.”

Blake, standing outside the clothing store, froze. Her eyes widened as she stared in disbelief at the large screen. On the screen, she saw Kevin stepping out of a luxurious Cadillac. Beside him stood a woman wearing a champagne color haute couture dress, intimately holding his hand.

Blake said, “H-He’s alive!”

“Blake, how about this dress? I think it

Suits you very well!” Janice walked over to Blake with the dress, only to see her staring blankly at

the LED screen. She was visibly trembling.

She could not hear what Blake was murmuring, but she could see that

something was clearly wrong with her.

Janice did not look happy either when she saw the couple on the

screen.

She immediately dropped the dress and approached Blake. “Blake, what’s wrong? Don’t scare me.”
