Liam’s skin was smooth and flawless, without a single blemish. This made Blake, who often had acne, envy him. 

She felt much better after crying. It was as if everything had come into perspective. She asked, “Do you want to sleep on the bed?” 

Liam’s eyes gleamed with joy as he looked at her. While he was in a dilemma, Blake had already lifted the blanket. He hesitated before speaking, “You…” 

“Forget it if you don’t want to,” Blake said. 

After Liam got into bed, they slept side by side. When Blake rested her head on his arm, she felt a little dizzy. She believed she had caught a cold.

temperature, realizing something was wrong. “Blake, are you sick? Why is your forehead so hot?” 

He let go of her and pressed his face against her forehead. He felt 

that her temperature was abnormal. So, he got off the bed and took a 

thermometer to measure Blake’s temperature. He then saw that her 

temperature was 101.3 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Liam quickly boiled water, gave her a few fever-reducing pills, and 

made soup for her. 

When he was done, he helped Blake sit up and let her lean against 

him. “Drink some soup. Be careful, it’s hot.” 

Blake weakly opened her eyes and slowly took a sip.
