Halfway through the meal, Madelyn pretended to go to the restroom and left the private room. As a result, the people who wanted to inquire about some gossip from her had no chance to do so.

There was a balcony outside the restaurant on the fifth floor. Madelyn requested a cup of hot water from a waiter and sat on the balcony. After a while, someone sat opposite her and asked, "When are you planning to return to school? Your number two position in the whole grade is at risk."

Other than discussing questions on school subjects, Kennedy rarely spoke this much.

Madelyn did not respond to his question. Instead, she asked, "Are the Math Olympiad results out yet? How did you do?"

Kennedy responded, "First place. Most people got scholarships. Jadie got it too."

Madelyn nodded, "As expected." She thought, 'Why did he specifically mention Jadie?'

Kennedy continued, "Even so, I won't give up the first-place position to you."

Madelyn rarely appeared relaxed in front of him. She replied, "I don't need you to give it to me. I'll get first place. It'll be good for you to experience what it's like to be second."

Kennedy smirked, "If you surpass me, you'll be the top scorer for the college entrance exam in the whole nation. But... you deserve this honor."

He had guessed long ago that she would return to school someday because she was different from other people.

The evening breeze tousled Madelyn's hair. She looked at the distant bright city lights and said, "Of course. By the way, why are you here?"

Kennedy said in earnest, "I'm the founder of SkyTech!"

Madelyn gave him a confused look.

Kennedy had attractive single eyelids. When he lowered them, he appeared as if he was dissatisfied with the world. He continued, "Very few people know about that. I don't usually have time to run the company. So, I have my friends to help me manage it."
