Zach took a big step forward. He forcefully lifted her and walked directly toward the third floor.
Madelyn shouted, "What are you doing? Put me down. Don't touch me!"
Zach ignored her yells and kicked open the door. He then found the light switch on the wall and switched it on. After that, he just tossed her onto the bed. This bed was even softer and more elastic than the previous one, so she bounced a little when she landed, leaving her a little dizzy.
Her phone dropped onto the ground, and the battery fell out. Ever since she had gotten this new phone, it would not break no matter how many times it dropped. It had even survived after being submerged in water.
Zach picked up the phone from the floor and reinserted the battery, "You aren't married yet. Don't forget that you still belong to the Jent family. If you keep running away to other people's houses or keep being disobedient, I'll restrict all your freedoms, including your trip back to Paris."
"You bastard. If you dare to do so, I'll call the police." Madelyn easily took the phone from his hand.
Zach found the threat of calling the police coming from her somewhat absurd.
He pursed his lips smiling as he nodded, "Sure. As long as you're obedient, I won't do that." He then wrapped his strong arm around her and used his other hand to lift her chin. He then kissed her on the lips, "Sleep early."
"Get lost!" Madelyn responded.
She vigorously wiped the area where he had kissed her. After he left, she slammed the door shut loudly.
She could not get rid of her anger. She was afraid that he might do something inappropriate to her in the middle of the night, so she moved the dressing table to block the door.
Zach went downstairs. When Jasmine saw the smile on his face, she was hurt.
She asked, "Are you this happy just because she's back?"
She had never seen him like this before. She continued, "You brought her back, but aren't you worried I might do something to her?"
Zach and Jasmine were the same type of people.
While there were people loyal to Zach around Hayson, Zach might have had other spies around other people too.
As for Jasmine's actions, Zach often turned a blind eye, but that did not mean he would tolerate her every time.
Zach grabbed the back of Jasmine's collar and dragged her to the kitchen. The sink was filled with water and some residual dish soap.
He growled, "While I still have some patience left in me now, why don't you think about how you'd like to die? Do you want to end up like her, dumped in the wilderness and torn apart by wild beasts?
"Isn't this the kind of method you usually prefer? Huh?"
